We can't thank you enough for everything you've done so far...
Greatest lone coder, we look forward to your new adventures!
🎶I'm a poor lonesome -cowboy- coder and a long way from home...🎶
Have a wonderful day.
Thanks Yvanvan!
It also reminds us that we cannot take this man's content as granted
@@javidx9😮😮😮😮 🤯😮🥰🥰🥰🙏🏼
@javidx9 do you think collision based on texture instead of polygons is possible? Like, can I make a facade wall with collision and doors you can pass through just by making one tri with a house texture on it with the windows cut out?
Take your time, your videos are awesome
Cheers Pedritox!
Quality over quantity, we love you brother. We here when you get back.
Javidx9's Tetris video is what led to me to be able to write my own CUDA-based multithreaded signal analysis software using ImGui for the interface. Progressing from the bare bones (learning about variables, etc) to actually making something useful is the hardest part of programming in general, and Javidx9 bridged that gap so perfectly with the Pixel Game Engine
how to understand the pixel engine code ?
@@user-qo9vt4kf9o Watch the video series about it.
Thanks a bunch for the great community you've built!
And thanks for featuring me three times! :O
0:20 what's that green thing on the ground?
I think its like a carpet thingy
I think it's a type of exotic flooring
I don't know either. But whatever it is, it's such a wide carpet
I heard it's called glass or sort of. You need to change it once in a while as it turns yellow and starts to crunch.
Just got to know about your channel a few days ago and fell in love with how well you explain stuff. Its cool to see all the amazing projects the community makes.
Your videos are amazing. I just applied your tone synthesizer lesson series to a real problem I was having and it opened my eyes. I can't wait to get to the NES emulator. You are 100% OG.
In the very least, it's awesome to see you've been doing well! I've learned a ton from you and your channel.
Thanks for creating such a great community Javid, I've been really enjoying the discord. I get a real kick out of seeing what other people come up with!
This guy breathes life into the C++ community on CZcams ❤.
You adore the content, and community you do. The whole thing is just awesome. Thank you!
I noticed when I program for a job its difficult to do it as a hobby.
This is very very true
I've been programming professionally for the past year, never have I ever programmed so little in my free time :(
@@pixelpox11I feel you 😅
Surprise showcase and code jam have me excited. Regardless of upload frequency, thanks for the great videos
I remember doing the same project at 4:01 back in high school. Our computers lab professor had provided us the source code which, if I recall correctly, was written by students at UC Davis. Me along with a few other students had to built the sandbox and setup the the projector and the sensor.
What started as a hobby trying to follow along with your videos ended up in a career shift, I'm so glad I stumbled upon your content some years ago, it really made me think and understand that I could do it.
Thank you Javid, I hope I"ll submit an entry for the upcoming jam.
Hell yea buddy, that's great to hear.
The discord is super helpful, thanks for setting that up
Glad to see your still doing your thing. Looking forward to future videos
Javidx9, your content is incredibly enjoyable, and you truly deserve all the fun you bring to your audience. It's not just entertaining; it's the best educational content I've come across that's also a joy to watch. I genuinely find myself learning from you even when my brain is feeling exhausted. Thank you so much for providing such valuable and enjoyable learning experiences. You're making a real difference!
You inspired me to learn C++ and your videos are very chill too.
Keep it up brother, the field of graphics needs people like you to keep it alive . Much love.
The color space cube at 7:08 is so cool, really hits my brain right in the nerd part
I have a specific project i have a question for:
Can you do collision based on texture instead of using the polygons so the collision is correlated to the texture on the polygon and the polygon itself is intangible?
What I mean is I want to make an incredibly low poly style video game, and I want to make it so each surface of a building or whatever can actually be a single tri polygon with whatever shaped texture on it I need. In this way I could make a facade building without a roof with just 4 tris that overlap at the edge of the texture
The way this would need to work is the actual tris the textures are attacked to will have to be much bigger and potentially would get in the way if they themselves had collision so just the portion with the texture has collision, and the tris can overlap as much as I need them to and be as large as I need because they're intangible and invisible, so they don't get in the way and can't be noticed or seen in gameplay
I also want to do stuff like doors and windows you can pass through without building geometry for them, so the texture can simply have transparent and intangible holes
Basically I don't care if you can see that it's flat, it's better to me to load more stuff at once with lower quality than have a tiny area where stuff actually loads because everything is super high polygon count
I want crappy facade buildings with the same texture for all four wall with no roof, and floating sky cities made with like 20 polygons, I love the ps1 aesthetic and most of the other stuff in the game will be 2d billboards including civilians like in the old road rash games so visuals will be low resolution and flat
Amazing work javidx9 and his community! You all are doing amazing work!!❤❤❤
I need to get a clip of my project in the show your stuff I tend to only post devlogs.
I love your coding videos, and hope you get back to them at some point, but take whatever time you need to enjoy the outdoors too!
As inspiring as always😮😊 I recongnized Death Really style. Love this game
Glad to hear you're doing well
Really nice showcase. And the classical music from Tchaikovsky is my favourite.
That PlayStation emulator was sick! There’s some talented people on that discord
Honestly, the things this community is doing is amazing! I still can't do any of this, but I love the videos :)
5:00 What is this spinning "drill-bit" thing? And how does it work?
Very cool. A lot of talent here.
Think we can get a video on programming on the android? I no longer have a laptop, but there is at least one ide on android (aide) and I think a few compilers, but android apparently needs a bunch of weird boilerplate stuff to work and all the tutorials are people with very heavy and hard to understand accents.
Im happy to see you still around, you are truly a brilliant individual and i appriciate your content very much. Thank you for your work and knowledge, God bless you!
Very kind of you, thanks!
Please do a tutorial on how to go outside without burning alive
Step one: Move to the North West of England
Step two: go outside
Genuine lol 😂
@@not_ever but what is a north west and how do I get one😭
@@lelolfire If it's the north west of England you're after you're gonna need an army, to start. A sizeable navy also wouldn't be a bad idea. The north and the south don't always get along terribly well, but I wouldn't count on the crown letting pieces of Blighty go over it.
Keep us updated!
@@hedlund Ok, thanks for the tips! I'll keep you updated.
in not a loyal fan but i definitely love the time i spend watch your content (and the community)
That was very beautiful and impressive!
It's like when you see this guy, you immediately think of graphics programming, CONVEX COLLISIONS, and Windows API stuff
5:05 can someone please link the source
it's ok if you take your time because i still have quite a lot of content of yours to work my way through lol :P
love your videos and all that you do!
Thanks Aaron, appreciate the support!
Hi, I had known you a few years ago. I really admire your achievements so far and aspire to be like you. However, I have a small issue with my English skills. I need to improve my English before I can follow in your footsteps. Fortunately, AI has proven to be the best English teacher I've come across. I'm not sure where to start or how long it will take to reach your level, but it's an honor to have met you
Awesome
I hope you will post more videos. Lately I started to look at microcontrollers. I initially wanted to buy a Raspberry Pi Pico W, but I'll go with a ESP32 (I think the raspberry is made by an English company). I think there is a lot to learn there too and maybe you could make a video or two about it.
The pico has 256k of ram and 2mb of flash. The esp32 has a bit more and you have plenty of models with different characteristics.
What I mean is that you are not THAT limited, like you were in the past. You also can't waste resources.
I don't know how "hardware" you are. I know I am not hardware at all. Two weeks ago I didn't know what a breadboard was or a GPIO.
But at the same time, you never learn as much as when you don't know.
I think it would be tough to port the olc engine on a microcontroller, because of dynamic memory management and because you cannot have a framebuffer on such limited hardware. I am NOT complaining, those limitations are what makes it exciting.
The pico itself is not that expensive (I think you can find it for 6€) and the W has wifi capacities. It may seems irrelevant, but as sensors and screen etc can quickly be expensive, being able to _do_ something with your microcontroller is nice.
Anyway, it was just a suggestion.
Hi and thanks. My day job is hardware so I'm ok with it lol. I've used an MBED LPC1768 in a few videos on the channel. It's my MCU of choice, but it's not as cheap as the others. I'd like to do some more hardware videos, it's tricky as they need to be accessible and hardware/embedded usually requires some setup to get started.
Welcome back :)
How i start my first coding?
love you sir
Javid is touching grass, guys! Something all developers need to do once in a while!
woah I gotta join the discord
6:22 nice
So nice seeing how people are just enjoying themselves coding stuff! 🎉
1:46 i didn't expect to be here :p
Welcome back 👑
Thank you for everthing. İ hope you come back. Goodbye one lone coder.
A library can compile, but did it actually work?
anyone reminded of that old iOS game Jelly Car at 4:23?
The return of the king
One thing that surprises me is about how computer science always emphasizes the most commonly heard programming advice in both institutional and tutorial learning which is "Never name your variables where its hard to read or understand". In addition, "Never give your variable a long name".
Your discord invite link is invalid
nice
This is my favourite weather dont diss it!
The king has returned
you are a fucking legend
i'm also a fan of cloudy skies, because then i don't have to go outside with sunglasses
what is the thing at 5:01
I hope you meant 4:01 because that's what I wanna know
Rest in peace channel, gone to search for the next generation of new CZcamsrs.
Brilliant 🎉ha "heckled by the chat" looking forward to the Jam SassyToll aka Johnnyg63 😀
I have a request for a video topic: Makefiles
5:15 Someone in your community made a Death Rally clone!?
You need to work on a big game project my man, your work would be exceptional and your viewers would buy it.
Its very hard to find libraries these days that explain themselves, describe their functions, or show you an in-depth output of what the library can produce. Not to mention, finding a library that actually works.
Guess who's come back
hi master
Missing u
Thanks.
hilarious
"gone fishing"
9 days 😮 😅 enjoy. I wish i could do coding. I used to do a little. I cant do it now 😢😢😢 also modern world is taking over 😮 i do like the channel though 😊
The intro explains why only British people could make a song like 'Mr Blue Sky'
I think this guy is Satoshi Nakamoto…
First like hit
wtf am I even looking at here 4:01 is that some sort of holographic display??
Oh no, he has "touch grass"!!!
Poor lad, trapped in source code
Instant click
Thanks Riacho!
I cant really tell whether hes being facetious about the "lovely British weather" or whether he actually thinks thats great weather 😀
🥺 Javid i am being harassed by Some unknown group 😢😢😢 because of my campaign.
They are creating distrust.
What can be done. 😢 i dont know hacking and i dont want to get express vpn 😭😭😭
yea touch that grass :)
😮😮😮 😢😢 😔 end of the real world. 😢 Bring back 1989 😢😢😢 metaverse 😡😡😱🥺no
A programmer touching grass? is this the end of the world?
Using flimsy excuse nonetheless! you can use a laptop outside of bonus asocial points!
He is clearly being indoctrinated in enjoying life, unlike the rest of us who stay firm into being miserable in front of screen.
Error messages you can't understand? Maybe you need rust! Says the man who hasn't coded most of the year so far... n/m
Maybe he went to your mommas house? Huh you thought about that? Mabye he is at yo mommas house!
