2 tbsp Soy sauce
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1 Egg
1 tbsp Cornstarch
2 tbsp Olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp of fresh ginger
1 red bell pepper
1/2 Poblano pepper (optional)
1/2 large onion
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp rice vinegar (or Apple Cider Vinegar. The closest match to rice vinegar)
1/2 tsp brown sugar
dissolve 1 tbsp cornstarch in 1/4 cup/60 ml of water
Green onions (optional, but highly recommended 🤤)

This way of tenderizing beef really isn't new. It's called velveting, and it's been around for ages. Makes GREAT meat!
Happy new year. The Pan from the first video, would you recommend it? Those can be used even with metal tools, right?
This is used in Chinese cooking a lot, it is called “Velveting the meat”. It actually stops the muscle fibers from binding and forcing the water out of the meat. It works very well. Try partially freezing the meat to get even more thin slices. The baking soda maxes out its power in about 20 mins. No need to marinate any longer than that.

Chinese uses corn flour to tenderise the meat. Soy sauce is very Chinese.
I know velvetizing with starch and egg white.

That's a wonderful method for tenderising beef. I tried it many times successfully after learning about it from a Chinese cooking channel. If you taste "chemicals" after cooking, you can get rid of it by neutralising the baking soda with vinegar. Just add a few table spoons of vinegar with the water when you rinse the beef.

I love in Ecuador where the beef is pasture fed. The meat is tougher than I like. I tried using butter and it worked! Now I have tender beef. Muchas gracias!

Yes, it's all in the way you cut your veggies, meats, etc . Need to invest in a good knife.Theres no way this recipe takes 3 minutes It would take 4-5 minutes to wash the veggies. C'mon sop pulling our legs/arms& wal😮ets 7:54
