- The Trotters are in court, seeking a settlement for Uncle Albert's fall. Though it turns out this isn't his first claim for falling down a pub cellar... or his second claim... or even his third claim. Oh dear.

The reason why Albert did this was heartwarming.
He wanted to help Del and Rodney to pay for Grandads headstone.
In the original script Grandad only did it to "make some money"😅😅😅
At the expense of numerous brewery companies though. He should’ve gone to prison.
2:56 keeping Del's face in the shot is always a great idea for scenes like this 😂
Rodney is like “what” meanwhile Del is just “this bastard”
Sully too
Defense solicitor: "I am about to pull a UNO pro move." 😂😂
Del: "Are you shitting me?!"
"Loss of memory? Knowing him he'll forget" 😄😄 the writing on this show was second to none!

I dont remember that joke :-)
Hugh Mungus!!! What happened to that possessed woman who attacked him?
Dels face in the background is just brilliant 👏 👌..hes been down more holes than Tony jacklin 🤣🤣

Apparently John Sullivan knew someone close that used to do what Albert did, falling down holes to claim insurance. Rodney was based on his Older brother.
I never used to understand that line because I didn't know who Tony Jacklin was.
@@shaneogden7437 I just looked him up, apparently he's a golfer.
This is actually one of the greatest episodes. It's a singular storyline that you could watch and understand without any previous knowledge of the show, but it's also heart-warming and absolutely hilarious.
When Uncle Albert says "..on my way to post my entry form for The Krypton Factor..." had me on the floor laughing!!
Del Boy's facial expression in the background is hilarious. This show is just the greatest ever created
“What was it the insurance companies nicknamed him?”
“The ferret” 😂
Del Boy's face during the reveal of all the previous claims... 😂😂😂
😮😮😮😂😂😂
What is it they called him?.....The Ferret!
@@tfm-Fender. hahahhaha. Nice guitar, Tom. The burst is lovely. 👍
I recently started watching the series again from the beginning (my stepdaughter got me the complete boxset for father's day). Even though I know the show back to front, it still has me in stitches. I grew up with it.
On Gold its on all day in the weekend
Unique mate nothing has ever or will ever be more relatable
@BRYCE PIE UK Hell yeah buddy. I hung my new Maiden calender on the wall this morning. 🤘
Shame the box set these days has many scenes deleted to respect political correctness. Still gems though.
@@koleberdinoch926 Really? I know the series like the back of my hand & never noticed. A few episodes are actually slightly longer.
It's when Del Boy said...." the only hole he hasn't been down is the dark hole of Calcutta"....cracks me up everytime..
"You wanna try walking it pal!" Hilarious line!
that one liner has stayed with me for over 30 years.
Don't forget the "well that's one hell of a parting" joke too buster was a genius

How the actor playing the prosecutor keeps a straight face through all that brilliant
Andrew Tourell was the actor, and very lovely to look at he was. RIP.

@@aidenmkelly You’re welcome!
Because when you rehearse lines over and over, you become desensitised to them being funny. You have to. Had to do the same with comedy plays I have been in
hardly call that overseas you try walking it pal 😂
You have repeated something that was said in the video. Why?
@@harpharpharpharp1971 because I wanted to why?
That's an old Dick Emery joke.
That is a great line.
Perfect response 👍
I dont even think Saul Goodman could get out of this one.
Or Houdini
“One minute I was walking along, on me way to post me entry form for the Krypton Factor”
Hahahaha
Jim Sullivan , an absolute genius and sorely missed by all.
@Defund the NASA Now of course no idea where jim came from lol
I was in the RAF with his nephew, we used to think he was bull shitting but first time I saw John in an interview could see very strong resemblance
??? Who's Jim Sullivan
Who’s Jim
John not Jim!
One of my all time favourite episodes. The first scene with the suntan lotion is absolute gold. What a performance from Buster Merryfield to follow in Leonard Pearce's shoes too. They integrated him into the show with perfection ❤️
The transition from Grandad to Uncle Albert was done brilliantly. People argue over which was the better character but both were excellent . The advantage with Uncle Albert was Del and Rodney not knowing him very well so there was his back story to explore, like in this episode.
“It’s a bloody nightmare Rodney, it’s a bloody nightmare! He’s been down more holes than Tony Jacklin!”
sooooooo your from the Partridge family ,i grew up watching them ,that was a long time ago though 😄
You wanna try walking it pal hahahaha

'Post me entry form, for the Krypton Factor' 😅😅😅😅
I'm just picturing Uncle Albert doing the assault course. 😂😂😂😂
In his wheelchair.
@@hazelanderson1479 Yes. 😅😅😅
He would have been alright though.
As he did basic parachute training, during the 1939-1945 conflict with Germany.
“You wanna try walking it pal” gets me every time, even after watching it so many times! 😂😂
Fun fact: this episode was originally filmed with Grandad instead of Albert.
Unfortunately the actor who played Grandad passed away shortly after the episode was due to come out so it was replaced with the funeral episode and Buster Merryfield ( Albert) ended up performing the episode
I remember reading about that. I think that some clips from the original footage with Lennard Pearce did make the final cut of this episode. I think it was somewhere at the beginning when Rodney, Del and Albert went to the Nags Head.
Correct , this was meant to be Ep1 but moved it to Ep3 due to Lennard Pearce (Granddad) passing . They added Ep2 funeral as a respect for Lennard and introduce Buster (Albert) character.
Yeah I think I saw a picture of granddad in the wheelchair a few years back
Filming hadn't finished before Lennard Pearce passed away, so it had to be re-done.

The krypton factor line still one of the greats
Love how Del and Rodney, also put their heads down as well. 😂😂😂
Only now as an adult, who sometimes enjoys a round of golf, do I finally get that Tony Jacklin joke XD
I had to look up who Tony Jacklin was! I like golf but I had no idea who he was for years until I looked him up on the internet.
"Isle of white!? Hardly overseas."
"You should try walking it, pal."

The funmy bit for me is the recation on Del Boy's face when the barrister is nameing Uncle Albert's "falls" 🤣🤣🤣
Don't forget the movement of their heads back and forth

Simply Gary? I cannot stop laughing at the scene would of been sufficient. Grow up
I've watched every episode of Fools many, many times, and I know what's coming next in every scene. Still roar with laughter every time though 🤣🤣🤣

@@delboy6736 Because a few people own bits of paper that says they can have free money every month that gets taxed at half of the rate the rest of the majority's wages are taxed at for working to create the majority of the wealth given away for free every month to that minority who did f*** all for it.
The minority have nice names like capitalists and rentier capitalist landlords.
@@Nine-Signs What a load of crap, the capitalist part of our economy is the Private sector ( all the businesses, small and large and restaurants and eateries and pubs and of course the Private Schools) it’s the public sector ( Socialist part) that sits on its laurels and shoves paper all day and does squat all for their pay, most of which want indefinite furlough. Capitalists work for a living, it’s the socialists that are constantly striking for more pay they haven’t even worked for, that’s the reason why Scotland is a mess because 80% of its people belong to their pretend parliament, only 20% are actually working in the private sector, the rest are work shy on welfare, whilst Nicola Sturgeon and her party take the British taxpayers money ( only 1 million Scots pay it and its very high, so the rest is coming from the English, whom the SNP hate ) via the Barnet System subsidy and are not redistributing it like they are supposed to, they are just putting it a vault someplace and siphoning it off for themselves. You are surrounded by capitalism everyday, everything in your own home is down to capitalism, because capitalists produce things, manufacture things whereas Socialist/Communist economies fail because they don’t produce anything and they are all poverty stricken. You cannot have socialism without capitalism, even welfare is capitalism. Even Del Boy selling dodgy gear is capitalism. The socialist ideology of redistribution of wealth ( invariably someone else hard earned wealth via high taxation) and public ownership of all business and industry, fails and doesn’t pay the bills - only capitalism does. That’s why when people get to around 35-40 they change their political outlook and become centre right capitalists rather than lefties ( unless as I said, they are extremely wealthy) as the often by that time have a family to support, a mortgage to pay and a car to run. Their former outlook doesn’t work in reality.

Absolutely, however it's Buster Merryfield in this sketch....
@@gaggymott9159I know its Buster but as someone else has pointed out Lennard Pearce was originally going to be in this episode but around the time they started filming Hole in One he had a heart attack and very tragically died. There's a picture of Lennard in an OFAH book I own where he's sat in the same wheelchair like Buster outside the court when they were filming Hole in One but they obviously had to re-shoot the scenes. Thinking about it, I should've maybe put RIP Lennard & Buster because they were both brilliant and the pair of 'em always make me laugh ! I think they're both fantastic in their own unique way 👍

When the judge lists all the pubs and the holes that Albert has fallen down, I can't stop laughing. Coz there's just so many. Even after the scene finished, the list went on. That's why Del and Rodney had to leave.
