- We got the chance to visit the NNL West show in Santa Clara California for their 39th annual show. Great models on the table, terrific people to talk too and hang out with and some amazing model kits to bring home!

I'd be all over that Matador X kit, as I'm a longtime AMC guy, having owned three Javelins and a 1968 AMX two-seater.
That Aliens APC was built from the real life aircraft tow tractor Hunslett ATT77. An online friend has that kit, and likes it. 👍

Nice kit adds, the 58 Impala, Mustang Cobra and Aliens AFV look awesome.I agree the 62 Catalina is a great detailed kitvwith the fuel lines and generator bracket.

I built that Datsun 510 back when it came out just like the box art. I wish my skill were better back then but oh well, at least i still have it & it looks good on the shelf.
Some great models in there. Love the Renault 4CV. The Aliens Halcyon kits are crazy expensive!

Great haul and it was great to meet you too! Also, if youre wanting to do your510 up as a BRE, the kit was also released as the Peter Brick car so it should be easy to either find one of those ktis or at least the decals from it.
Hi Ben! It definitely means treat to meet you. We are planning to go back for next year. I hope we can hang out more! So, funny thing is, a friend of mine was selling off some of his stash. He had a BRE. I snagged it for $18.00!!
OMG i can not believe you got a 510. That is awesome. The 510 was one of my favorite online racing drift cars and I always wanted to build a few. Great score!!
Right!! I didn't even haggle with the seller! I just shut up and gave him my money. I remember those cars on the road as a kid. Always liked them.
@@BGsModelWorkshop No doubt. It seems like just a few years ago when I saw these kits on the regular being sold. And something was always more important. I wish I had not passed them up. I will find one though. Did you happen to get or try the Seepage Pen yet for panel lines?
Not yet, I still have it saved in my Amazon cart. For some reason, new kitchen curtains won the Amazon budget. 😁 That said, while I was working on my latest build, I really felt that pen will be useful!!
Great adds, love the 1/43rd scaler and the Datsun 510. Saw you at the event, but you were surrounded, so didn't want to bother you. I'm sure you got mobbed most of the day! Maybe next year if you'll be back for the final year of NNL West.
I have vague memories of the Monroe Cobra and I believe that color is called Midnight Purple. Although the R33 isn't my favorite Skyline, one of my very favorite drivers, Dai Yoshihara has a very nice custom R33 that was displayed at SEMA last year.

The Nissan Skyline is Midnight Purple. I made that same kit for my son who had bought it himself but didn't want to buy all the paints. I did it in SMS Galaxy colour shift paint which was a dark purple/blue shift. It came out really nice.

Glad to see you had a productive trip. That GTO kit is not as bad as I had expected, I did have to carve a lot off the inside of the front bumper to get it to fit on and had to tape the rear bumper on until the glue dried, but other than that it was a good build. Looks like you're going to have your hands full for a while. lol.

Should be a good build with some dry fitting and trimming first, looking forward to your updates.

The Centerline tricks from the AMT 55 Chevy in blue and white box art would be the closest to wheels on the Mustang

I'm pretty sure that the white Vette on Bruce's card and sticker is either the Astrovette or Astro1. The Astrovette is the first car model I ever built.
I think it's the astro 1! I had to look it up! 😁 The AeroVette is a sweet kit!
That Revell 427 Cobra does have some little pecadillos that could be fixed. But short of a Model Factory Hiro, it's the best there is of a Cobra in 1/24-25. When the Fujimi kit was announced I thought that was gonna be awesome like say their Porsche 356B/C Carrera. But when their Cobra was on my desk, I wound up putting it back in the box and setting it aside. So if you think there's a Better Cobra, bring it on and share it.
Hi Dusty, I have heard the Revell Cobra is "ok for the price point". I'm not quite sure what the issues could be, perhaps body shape or measurements are off a bit? But, I have built the kit a couple of times now and always enjoy it. No way I would want to tackle a model factor hero kit. 😁

You did very well on that haul. The right place at the right time.I have one of those nissan skylines and when I painted it it did not turn out good. I have tried to strip in purple power and brake fluid and nothing will touch it. any suggestions on what to use. thanks
Hi Sam! Thank you!! Definitely felt lucky on that last trip!
It really depends on the type of paint. Purple power works best on enamel paints. I'm surprised the brake fluid didn't attack it!! You might try 91 or 99% rubbing alcohol. But it will need to sit for a few days.
