That is magical in a cold place where you can see snow and this. That is pure divine beauty!
Beautiful yet deadly. Thanks for sharing the amazing photography.
I like this report, because we get real drone footage instead of a bunch of droning experts.
So true. So much appreciated.
Shouldn’t there be some climate protesters blocking the lava flows
The Land of Ice and Fire
That is absolutely beautiful!
That’s amazing. Was very fortunate to visit Grindavick 4 years ago. Beautiful city, wonderful people. Hope everyone is safe and that city survives 🙏
City?
@@byteme9718: Town.
@@auletes It's barely that by the norms in most other countries.
@@byteme9718: a town by iclandic standards :)
@@auletes I know, I've been there many times and visited many. Remember, the original comment here referred to Grindavik as a city.
Mother Earth Her fierce side yet spectacular.
The creation are Wonderful !!!!
our world is so scary and beautiful at the same time
Stunning images.
Our planet really is alive, with or without us!
This is gonna sound weird but did anyone else think it sounded like waves 🌊 crashing on a beach!? I just closed my eyes and it sounded sooo much like it. Volcano🌋lava so very BEAUTIFUL but yet so very DEADLY, AMAZING!!! Stay safe ya’ll!! 🇺🇸 ✌🏻
And Merry Christmas 🎅🏼 🎄🤶🏻 & Peace to ALL 🕊️
Wow! Nature is an artist!!!
It’s looks amazing and i hope everyone is safe there.
The lava show is awesome, but the most impressive thing here is the perfect English spoken by those Icelanders!
That is representative of some energy!
A song of fire and ice
Amazing video, so lucky to have snow to show where it is not hot to walk!!
Wounderful natural firework 🤗
Amazing.
I was just in Iceland a month ago; wish I was there to see this!
Beautiful yet fearful.
Bonito si , però no para vivir.
Mother Nature can be a beautiful yet scary phenomenon!
More like Fire & Ice-land. What a beautifull but fearfull spectacle. Glad the warning signs were there for a while.
Creative energy
Incredible, part of the earth is heated from a solid to a liquid and being spewed up like water!!
Magma is always liquid until it comes to the surface to cool
What causes a volcano
@@HelenShannon-tr8hr cracks or weaks spots in the earths mantle. It’s been speculated that substantial meteor impacts on earths surface could result in volcanic activity on the direct opposite side of the planet.
Wow!
could you maybe put the info text in the subtitles so we can actually watch the lava footage?
I'm in Total Awe of it's Beauty‼️ the Brillantly Bright Reds and Yellows flowing the starke black rock of the mountain.
I don't think I could be Brave Enough to get So Close to the Erupting Crater, , or be up there At All, LOL They're far from Funny, and should Never, Not be Taken Seriously. I have a Healthy Outlook on that kinda stuff, , , Never Ever, Ever, , , Underestimate Mother Nature 😯😲😳🤯🔥🌋💥💛🧡
You interviewed Thor.
All are safety, please
50 miles is too close.
100 miles is too close. 😮
Iceland and fireland :)
How are they that close to the volcano and be untouched. I'm thankful for their safety but shocked!
Spectaculare but for the people its so sad
😮❤Respekt

I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” - Genesis 12:3
Is the sound of the eruption real or added in post? I never thought about what a volcano and lava flow would sound like.
That's real. Most of it is the sound of high pressure gas escaping, but as burps instead of a constant leak: "PSssh PSssh PSssh" instead of "sssssssssssssssss". Add to that the "splat splat splat" of lava that was thrown into the air landing back in lava or on rock.
What causes a volcano
It's awesome to stand next to a lava fountain, better than Burning Man.
I like it better in Hawaii though because you can stand there and watch it in an Aloha shirt.
The burial grounds...
Has it reached the town?
No, and it is unclear if it will reach the town. There is still the possibility - rapidly diminishing but still possible - that a fissure could open up right in the town.
Oh my gosh, I hope it doesn’t go too far, but it can’t be guessed or controlled, whatever happens is what happens.
How much co2 is that?
Lava
😢
150 meters fountains! You don't get an idea of big this is from drone footage alone.
Well they need to up date their average, seems its a yearly event now.
That’s the problem with averages. Over what period of time? If you were to check from March of 2021, this would be number 4 in less than 3 years.
Were is the epic clash between 2 battle hardened vikings?
Waiting until the threat is downgraded enough for the locals to go BBQ around it
It must be very off putting when playing monopoly ..😅
❤️🔥
And our Mother Earth continues to spin.
Sounds like water the lava
Oh great. It is Mordor/ Mustafar all over again at Iceland.
No
May Allah foorgive us
Allahu Akbar. ❤
I KNOW THIS IS SUPER SCARRY
Looks like tree roots burning 🔥
I really hope it doesn't get to Grindavik, especially not the power plant. I hope they got all the livestock out of that village as well.
@GarGamel-po1qm I knew all the people had been but some animals were left behind as said on another channel, but that was a month ago as well. I had hoped people went back for the rest of them. I'm glad if every animal has been evacuated. People can handle themselves just fine.

Proving this science has a ways to go. I hope they learned from this one a little more. It will take time, but they will get better. Glad to see it looks like the town is safe.
Wdym? They evacuated the town months in advance because they detected it. What do you want them to do, stop a volcanic eruption? This comment makes no sense.
brainded comment
@@IDislikeMacaroni The eruption is miles away from anything mentioned, they had over a month without eruption and yet several times said any day. The science is still vary far away from exact. I wasn't putting anyone down, I was only stating the obvious and how much more science still had to learn. The only one here RUDE and neg. was You.
Yellowstone hot spot is 40k years overdue for its next "burp". Now that will be something.
This year, over the past decade, has become the most anomalous in terms of the number of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions on our planet. And looking at the dynamics of the cataclysms, it becomes clear that the situation will not develop for the better. The cause of catastrophic climate change is cyclical. The main factor is the destabilization of the planet's core. Details of the reasons for the current events were announced at the international forum “Global crisis. The Responsibility”.
First, that is false. The rate of earthquakes and volcanic activity is not anomalous. What has actually happened is the proliferation of drones, the ubiquity of smartphones, and the Internet has given us the ability to hear about and even witness events in real time that previously would be a paragraph buried in the newspaper. The immediacy of the experience changes our perception of how common it is.
Second, what does "this year, over the past decade" even mean?
Fire and Ice
By Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction
Ice is also great
And would suffice.
I Guess it isn't Iceland anymore?
right on winter they're have free heat
Need to pray for these people 🙏🏻

Holy sh*! you look like Jeremy Renner! Totally unrelated to your content but worth saying. Lol
I just hate these drone videos that offer zero perspective to the geology around the volcano.
Plug in your car.
😂
All guessing in the name of "science".
The eruption happened pretty much spot on where scientists said it was most likely to happen.
🤦♂️
Fissure eruption.
Not a volcano.
Do a little bit of research maybe?
It is an effusive eruption of the Eldvörp-Svartsengi volcano. Learn the definitions of words, maybe?
@@JonMartinYXD Volcanic complex. Not volcano.
@@adammaturin1277 Volcanic _system_ if you want to be pedantic.
What do the climate cultists have to say about all the greenhouse gasses being released here?
The CO₂ released by all the volcanoes in the world is about 0.1557%(± 0.019) compared to the CO₂ released by humans burning fossil fuels and producing cement. Of course volcanoes also emit a lot of SO₂ which reflects sunlight, which has a cooling effect. So you tell me, which is the bigger problem, volcanoes or human activity?
Where is Greta?
Who will pay emission allowance?
The CO₂ released by all the volcanoes in the world is about 0.1557(± 0.019)% compared to the CO₂ released by humans burning fossil fuels and producing cement. Take the bus or car pool to work one day per year and you will negate your "share" of volcanic emissions.
The actual numbers make you sound pretty ridiculous, don't they?
The AP is such a biased organization that I went to three other sources to confirm that this actually happened.
Jesus Christ really is coming back soon!🙌
Where's Greta??? Is she going to ban the Volcano? :LOL!
Another one? Okay I'm keeping these responses short now. Human activity releases (on the conservative end of estimates) 570 times more CO₂ than all the volcanic activity in the world.
Stop being so afraid of a 20 year old Swedish girl.
