This video is brought to you by MagBak. Today I am going to show you the best way to transfer ALL of your data from your old iPhone to your new iPhone. I have made a similar video over a year ago which has helped thousands of people, but since then Apple have changed some things and I have also received some good questions from you that I will answer as we go. I will be transferring from my iPhone 15 to my new iPhone 15 Pro but the same process will apply for all recent iPhone models. This transfer will carry over everything: your apps, music, photos, messages, re-pair Apple Watch, and even your wallpaper and settings. This will save you a lot of time and will essentially mirror your old iPhone onto your new iPhone! And at the end of the video I will also show you how to erase your old iPhone so you can safely sell it or pass it on without sharing any of your data. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Do the both phones have to be on the latest update of iOS 17 like the 17.4 now or they just be on iOS 17 and we will proceed with the thing??

Hey quick question as this video has been super helpful. I’m about to wipe my old phone as I am going through this process now. But I have noticed, some of my personal accounts need varifications sending to change passwords and these messages still go to my old handset to access things on my new? I’m worried if I delete my old phone, I won’t be able to varify things as for some reason it classes that handset as the main one.
I have a question, when I got to the New Phone and click Erase all data it’s asking do I want to Keep E-Sim and Erase data or Delete eSIM and Erase data, which one do I choose?

What if I don’t have enough storage to update to latest iOS? Will this transfer everything even if I don’t have enough iCloud storage? I seen something about 21 days to transfer… will everything delete off new phone and iCloud if I don’t purchase more storage by day 21?

Hi Dion, how about chats in whatsapp for example, does it transfer altogether? Even without backed up in icloud?
Yes, it should. Connect both phones to an electricity source, make sure WIFI is on, have them both updated to the latest IOS versions and off you go. If the gap between the old and new phone is very big you might encounter some difficulties
What if your wifi and bluetooth are permanently disabled? Is there a way to do this through a computer?
Dion how efficient is the transfer of data from an android to an iPhone and is there a possibility of losing some files, Ave never done such a transfer but Ave always been curious to know .

Over the years, being a tech freak, I have figured out I am actually addicted to updates and fiddleing with phones like in this video. Getting updates just feels cool. Of course, using tech is also a pleasure but I just get really excited when updates come. So, I enjoyed watching this video for now particular reason. (I've been on Android forever, currently rocking a Galaxy S23+ but you never know...)

Hey question here. I have a real jacked up old phone and it only charges to 1 percent and then dies. How do I switch it then?
You'll probably have to get the old device repaired first. Or maybe a reputable local phone repair shop can grab the data and copy it onto a flash drive or other device.

While setting up the transfer, the new phone asked me if I wanted to do the iOS update. I assumed this was necessary (since my old phone had the latest iOS). So now the new phone is updating and I have no idea if this will mess everything up. Because usually you need to reboot your phone after an update.

Hi Carlos, what do you mean? As you know iPhone 13 models have both a physical and e Sim. They also support two active eSIMs.

It should. The bigger the gap between the iPhones the bigger the chance that the process will not be perfect. make sure that they are both updated to the latest IOS.

the wider the gap between the models, the less certain the process is. Update both models to the latest IOS version, but you might be prepared, if it is from the 6 to the 15, to lose a bit in the process (although everything remains stored in the I Cloud)

Why not just use an iCloud backup? You can continue to use your new iPhone while it restores from iCloud backup. You can monitor the status of iCloud backup in settings.
Good point, I covered this in my earlier video late 2022, because it is indeed one of the two possibilities, but since Apple has changed its policy and made the phone to phone transfer its preferred transfer method by default.

Correct me if I am wrong, but an important step is missing here. It might be obvious for some of us but on the new phone you have to get to the point where you're connected to Wifi. I once started a transfer without this and it displayed 2 days :D In the video you can also tell you are already connected to WiFi, so you are past this step.
Hi, sorry for the late reaction. Perhaps I was not clear enough in the video, but in most cases when your old phone is on wifi and you have bluetooth on it will automatically seek and generate wifi on the new phone, If not you will have to do an update and restart the process
