The holiest words of a glorious hymn
One of my favourite hymns..especially for Easter. He is Risen indeed..praise Jesus..and thank you for conquering death. We now have everlasting life with Yiu for eternity. Amen.

This HYMN brings that choking of ones throat and tears to clean the soul.
I was maybe 4 when I hear this for the 1st time on Holy Saturday when the church was not lit and the candles everyone had was being lit.
I pray HE comes soon before it is too late to save the people of this world from evil judges, politicians and globalist.

Take the roof off with the Easter hymn! I rang for two diffrent churches and sang this at both of their services, well played Rob.
I can just taste the fresh "oysters" from the shores of this village whilst the organ plays on. Gluttony is suppressed whilst I sing.

Beautiful organ amd very beautiful music. This a wonderful hymn and I love playing it. The tune sounded familiar and I recognized it as " CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN TODAY" Although I believe the tune for " JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN TODAY" is different than the one played here
It isnt different. Denominational bodies which put together hymn books choose which of the wordings they want. I know the Baptist Hymnal uses "Jesus Christ is Risen Today" while the Presbyterian Hymnal uses "Christ the Lord is Risen Today". However, there are different arrangements for these hymns as well; I myself, having conducted a handbell choir, preformed solos, and having worked with all sorts of Christian music programs, have heard about 5.
yep yep. I've seen this song called by different names. in my church we call this jesus christ is risen to day. our christ the Lord is risen today is sung to the Llanfair tune with alleluia. (hail the day that sees him rise?)

How refreshing to hear this mighty tune played at the PROPER TEMPO!! So often, on Easter Day (when we are supposed to be rejoicing in Jesus' Resurrection), can the piece become a dirge! The Organist in this clip certainly is worthy of an A+ !!

Coming from a small New England town with a white congregational church on the town common brings back memories of Easter Sunday services. Our organist had to have been 80 years old, and he belted this out with no problem. I may add the congregation gave him a run for his money. As a kid I could not figure who played or sang the loudest the most. Thanks for the vid.
