What’s Next; Now That Our Tongue and Groove Ceiling Is Complete?

It has taken a lot longer than anticipated to get the ceiling installed! We have not been able to spend time inside the cabin so progress is SLOW! 😳 We hung out with Cameron after we arrived and then went cruising on the UTV. The Viking ran great when we initially fired it up but when we went to start it back up, the battery was dead. Luckily, Shon brought his jump starter battery pack with us and he jumped the battery and it fired right back up. We were not able to get in the cabin until late Saturday night. Sunday, we woke up and started cleaning and organizing the kitchen cabinets! It’s so exciting!!! I can see it all starting to come together. Hopefully, we can keep the momentum going and make some progress and have some fun along the way. We had to call it early and head back to Houston because I got something in my eye. It was the worst! But staying positive and feeling excited for what’s to come!

I like the color of the cabinets but if those scratches bother you, then paint! Your ceiling is absolutely gorgeous!!! It's been super hot n humid here in Florida too. Happy weekend!!

@r-ranchadventures you can also purchase the pencils to fill in scratches...come in a lot of colors...most Lowe's or Home Depot sell them.

Leave the wood unless you want to contrast a color. But do you really want to redo them just in case they are used at the cabin? Just my thoughts

@@r-ranchadventures only suggestion I would give is when you pour concrete or paint something put a little baby foot print and year. Whether it’s inside a cabinet or behind the inside of a door. My daughter babysitter did that in 2 spots on her house in concrete work and it’s adorable. (Kids and grandkids) now she’s due for a update lol. Went from 1 grandchild to 6 lol.
Our family is 3 kids but we only gave my parents 4 grandkids. I would have had another one but my X husband wasn’t ready. Thankfully it was right call because he quit the marriage that same year. Just 1 kid single mom and I run everywhere. Lol. We’re all done having kids.
