This is starting to feel like building a pc, there so much stuff coming out but not selling yet that it's starting to get really hard to decide what to go with. This is probably the most exciting bike show I've seen over the internet.
I know right? Like ok version 2 of the new ltwoo when we can't even get v1
The development speed here is just so fast... it's hard to keep up...
@@ChinaCycling yeah, like "well I can buy this now, but if I wait another 6 months theres going to be this other thing that will probably be a better choice and I don't want to get buyers remorse" is exactly how building a PC used to feel years ago when the industry was churning out new stuff every few months.
Also I'll also make a request :) since I hope I have your attention. Any lightweight hydraulic brake calipers?
You’re not wrong. Thermaltake is now a bike shop as well.
Stuff on these shows should really be already for sale, whats the point otherwise?
The quickpro stuff looks good. Paint job looks like someone has had an accident in the paint aisle at home depot.
Or painted by a 5 year old ;)
"What colour do you want?" "Yes."
@@ChinaCycling I can't seem to find the quick website and I don't see it on panda podium can I have? a link to their website
@@lilchungy3298 same here. I can't find anything anywhere about them. Wat is this?
Yes want to know also the website of Quick Pro
You actually featured some MTB, 👌🏼thanks for listening
I'm nothing without my audience, so of course I'll listed.
Keep up the lovely content !! Thank you so much and happy anniversary Sir !!
Thank you for watching!
The pet bike guy deserves a whole video! I use my gravel bike to commute and take my daughter to school, and realized I want an urban do it all bike lol
He is a very interesting character, could defo have talked for an hour...
David is great, he is my neighbor living in the same community. He and his family quite literally cycle every day through all the weather Shanghai throws at us. Really great to see Brook & Breeze expanding and reaching out to wider global audience.
Congratulations on the anniversary! You’re filling an exciting niche - an we’re here for it. 🙂
Thank you so much!! Thanks for being here too.
Another excellent tour of the Shanghai bike show and some awesome products!
Love your work Joe, looking forward to seeing the specs on the new Tavelo. It looks gooood 😍
Thanks for the awesome show coverage and Happy Panda Podium Birthday Joe! 🎂🍻👏
Thank you Jim!
Mate awesome kit and what is building upto an awesome show.. This pi$$es all over sea otter, which was boring as fook in my opinion. Shout out for traditional shaped frames👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Paint job on the Quick Pro race frames looks mint🤙
Thanks for your inclusiveness of the bike culture. It is more than just about bikes but people riding them. I appreciate your reporting.
Ok also. Find some lightweight hardtail frames. They are out there. Think about 900-1000g hardtail frames.
Some wide rim wheelsets. 30 mm internal asymetric builds.
Also more info on those flez seatposts. Those look promising.
Also brakes:
Dekas brakes
Zeace m1 x2 /x4 brakes.
Ltwoo derailers
Day 2 was awesome!
I love what L-Twoo is doing with thier products but they need to make a version and stick with it. These half way updates on hardware between official models make every western consomer nervous.
They are still in their validation phase hence the rapid iterations (not a traditional development approach). They are using their customers as their free verification fleet.
Haha, yeah, the double-edged sword of their development speed.
@@ChinaCycling That development methodology is working for SpaceX as they are eating the competition alive. What I like is that they listen to the general complaints with existing designs (e.g. lack of USB C). I just wish they would have copied SRAM's design for "wireless".
Love the Voice Chorus.
I don't know anything about XC, but it looks rad...
Happy anniversary.
Thanks! :)
thanks so much for covering this! i'm very interested to see the bafang electric m630 and dengfu electric mountain frames
me too
Those Onirii bikes look sick
They're getting there!
The concept bike looks awesome. The Onri bike.
Love the Quick Pro TT / Triathlon frame piece, more triathlon frames would be awesome.
There's a few more dotted around the show floor...
Bamboo bike, i remember!! It was very famous in Beijing ^^
Bike computers. Great video
Yes, more chinese bike stuff, means more stuff for Trace Velo to review. Good Stuff
Yess, more MTB stuff please! How about some light XC Wheelset 30mm internal?!
WIll keep my eyes open!
Im riding an Onirii 3D printed carbon saddle. Paired with the Lameda Starlight bibs, its a comfy setup.
I visited the lameda stand yesterday, was very impressed with their material and their price point is spot on!
B&B guy is really interesting and I bet he is very happy, having a chance to do what he loves.
He's a rad guy. His bamboo bikes look amazing.
Gdi that internal hub sounds like a damn good option if I ever wanted a folding bike.
As someone who frequently rides with or without aero extensions, I'm hoping the L-TWO bar end shifters do indeed work with their regular STIs. Also, USB-C charging sounds great. Just had to search for me DI2 charge brick again. 👍🏻
Love to see all the innovation! Any word on release date of the onirii aero frame? Coming to pandapodium perhaps?
More steel bikes/frames please, if they exist at the show. Thanks for your coverage, Joe!
Will keep looking! :)
That quick pro AR ONE almost looks like an SL8. Very interested in that frame.
Those sunglasses 😎
That all-rounder under 700 g is very nice
Your black n blue ,all arounder looks great..i like light bikes not really into drop bar bikes . But they're light as a feather. Now that Voice xc is sweet 1500 grams . 3 times the weight of that 500 grams frame and still insanely light.
Yeah, I have no scale of reference for full suspension bikes... 1500... is that good?
@@ChinaCycling yeah, good....all these guys build the lightest road and mtb. Shocking the weights these days..
dog bike and ltwoo internal hubs where the most impressive thing imo
LTwoo blue version 3 already coming: charging port cover actually connected to hood!
I'd be interested in hearing more about Onirri's 150T ratchet road bike hubs. I think they are just 75T on each side and they are calling that 150T.
Would love to hear your thoughts/in person reaction
That Onirii aero looks sweet. Any idea when it comes out?
11:20 0mm stem situation?! wow, wondering how that feels like.. never seen before...
Looking forward to knowing more about the 2 frames from Quick Pro...
Me too!
The frame weighs only slightly more than my phone.
Those sunglasses are just so frikking cool! Where do you get them?
They're PIt Vipers
That bike says QUICK 14 times… but love the onigiri 🍙
Every time they write "quick" it gets 1 watt faster...
You're good at the reporter on the ground walk arounds, especially considering it's not exactly the day job.
Thanks. I kind of enjoy it. Just give me 2 mins to look at a product then blah blah blah for 60 seconds or so. One take. Done.
That sava dreammaker at 0:08 is the best looking bike in about 20 years.
(Also, could use a stainless bolt on the stem at 1:39 to avoid all that rust 😂)
Thats a different version with an actually useable front end
@@invisiblescout6335 be nice to know more about it, it says dreammaker on the top tube so maybe this is v2
Will you be bringing the Quick Pro TT One to Panda Podium?
IMO those brands are behind the times in going for the absolute lightest frame weight. Once it's relatively light, a lot of us don't really care. and personally I'd be questioning the strength/fragility of the frame
Rear travel is also important. How much rear travel?
Are you ever going to make casual clothing, like Panda Podium casual shirts? I'd rock some here in Southern California bro!
@chinacycling we need a separate video on these new chinese brands. quickpro , tavelo, stella . will these be sold on panda
Quickpro - yes. Tavelo - yes. Stella - probably yes. Will be doing dedicated videos on them all, as ~60 seconds per bike/frame just isn't enough time.
Great to see USB C on L-TWOO. I charged my er9 last night, it was over 70pc when I put it to charge, because I had a ride in the mountains. Plugged it in the wall overnight. In the morning, it was around 20pc, and the group died on me right at the end of the ride, because I made a very conscious effort not to shift to save battery. Now, wtf happened? Idk. How can you put it to charge and instead the battery gets drained overnight? And ofc 2 other RDs died on other bikes, for no reason.
Chinese engineering when they can’t steal it.
That's worrying... what was the production date? All my recent stuff has been solid as a rock.
Oh man I missed the live stream.
I want that concept bike
IGH hub?!!!!!.YES, i'm that niche guy it's for 👍😁
It's a pretty rad thing
Once china figure out decent brand names they will really start to do numbers.
Where can we get one of those tees?
Dude one question, what’s the difference between Sava and Java bikes? Thanks in advance and btw love your channel 😎👍🏼🔥🔥🔥
Totally different brands, just similar names.
Any news from LTwoo on the eGRX group set?
eGR? Its out and doing well
Was hoping to bump into you yesterday, but the place is huge and quite overwhelming. The Chinese brands were very popular.
Prefer to watch your reviews.
Yup, people don't realize how overwhelming the whole thing is...
How is the voice to day Joe i don't know how you do it ...a tall size of the young Lady you show at the opening of the video please another Ton of information to digest thank you.
If you run into EXS-cycling, please tell them to produce more Aerover handlebars! :)
Even chinese riders shouting for this, EXS is too popular here.
@@user-vw7fz3eq1b ah gotcha! Best looking one-piece stem/handlebar combo and OD2 compatible for us Giant bikes riders.
@14:00 even after he says so it may not be clear to Americans how much people in Asia transport dogs on two-wheel vehicles. It is.... a LOT. Most people are carrying them on what you'd call a scooter/moped. For cats they use cat carry backpacks. But the dogs are... anywhere. On the back seat unsecured - either sitting on it - or standing up on all 4 legs.... Sitting on the floor part.. unsecured. Sitting with their rear legs on the driver or the front of the seat and their front paws up on the handlebars (I'm not kidding, that last one is really common). Most everyone's dogs seem to stay put on the bikes and never jump off. But I know in reality that's only true for some dogs who have become accustomed to it. When I took my girlfriend and her dog somewhere, the dog was always trying to move around all over the place and it's surprising how unstable that makes the bike and how distracting it is. So.. having better ways to transport dogs more securely is an important product.
Where can we see/buy the quick pro bikes/frames
Coming to Panda Podium soon...
Here for the thumbnail.
Anything new from 9Velo?
They're not here, but their new wheels are pretty good value!
So Joe, your thumb nail has a booth babe, after looking over your whole video I can only see bikes and bike frame and that one American dude
0:57 seems like an sl8. same weight and same design
Will the BROSS zenith plume frames be available on pandapodium ? very keen to get one of them to europe
They will be doing their own distribution, their website isn't up yet but you can order if you get in touch.
Nope, they wanna do their own thing...
What is the biggest hurdle for you to get new products up on PP? I can see a lot of potential sales from most of the products but the rate at which u add to the site is slow.
1) Testing the quality... we don't wanna put poop up there. You can't just ride it once and say 'thats fine' as you do need a bit of durability testing. 2) Business stuff, seeing if its viable with the profit margins and shipping costs. 3) Waiting for production, there's a cycling boom in china, so stocks can be low. 4) Translating / content creation.
@@ChinaCycling yeah I hear u! Just that new seka frame if the price was right I could c u selling 5000 easy.
The voice frame seemed to have insane flex or was it just an illusion?! 15:02
The tire seemed to have about 5 PSI in it and the tire was moving on the rim... this is one of those things thats hard to show on video (especially with a mic in your hand.) It felt solid... but... I've never tested another full sus bike to compare...
No Elves bikes @ the show?
They must be here, but haven't came across them yet
Hi Joe, how can you have confidence in LTWOO with their multiple issues over the last two years? also zero customer support in europe is a no no!
My few bikes that have newer versions (last 6 months) I've had 0 issues. Also talking with other youtubers they have the same experience...so... looks like we're getting there...
@@ChinaCycling once bitten though,If you went out on a limb 2 years ago, spent the money,no come back, stung.
If they could stand over their products, have good customer service & provide a good warranty, then I would be all over that TT setup for sure.
Jury is out on all three so far.
Are you talking faster than normal?
$3,500 for some Chinese-branded wheels😂 They’ve been smoking something! Even the Chinese wouldn't buy those. They want enve, Campag etc. And all this talk of Ltwoo and wheeltop, yet all the Chinese manufacturers have dura ace, ultegra, 105 on their builds. Only poor westerners looking to save a few cents want this stuff. As if we haven't got enough landfill already!
Quick has no store front and does not answer emails. Pretty odd
FYI frameset is frame PLUS fork. Quit lying about weights.
USBC charging is the best thing ever. no need to buy all shit of charging cable
Mr China - you'll notice that pet bike man was talking at a normal volume. You can stop yelling now 😂. CZcamsrs yelling into the camera is my pet peeve. It's so unnecessary and makes it so that even it low volumes, you still "sound loud".
funny thing u wont see any chinese guy riding chinese brands
at least in SHANGHAI !
This guy is a perfect example of Backpfeifengesicht.
Unfair. Joe is a providing a decent window into what's coming down the pike.
Cheers
I'd never buy any bike or frame with "Pro" in the name.
Save it for the iPhones
that Quick pro is an SL8 rip off
These days every bike is an SL8 rip off... :(
Mate so every lightweight, semi aero bike with dropped seatstays is a tarmac ripoff then?
@@invisiblescout6335 + the chunky head tube
@@DanTuber you know bikes have had that design for years? Spesh didnt innovate shit with the speedsniffer. Dogma, Madone and probably a hundred chinese open mold frames had that kind of headtube years ago
This sport should be more innovative, more funny and keep moving forward instead of ripping off money with boring old stuff.
I dont buy this china frames, the garantie is 1 months😅😅
Onerii frame design is 99% from design from 2016 model LOOK 675 Light, (but with rim brakes). So, Asians are not original in design discipline.
I think you're right, but at the same time there's only so much you can do with 2 triangles and there are already a million bikes in existence... its going to end up looking like something...
I wouldn't be sure they've intentionally copied that exact frame. They clearly decided to go for that style of headtube-interface, yes. I don't know if look were the first ones to come up with that on a road bike, but it's far from unique to them these days.
And as joe said, when you are limited by what a bike is, you are bound to come up with some convergent designs. We see it literally all the time. How many of these "allround" frames look like they're 95% the same bike?
Aero is an absolute joke
Mate i cannot... Stop talking about weight so much. Everything is about weight.. I'm so sick of hearing about it. 7.2 or 7.5kg bike is not going to perform different at the same exact testing..
I agree, but at the bike show when I haven't ridden the bike, there's not much else to talk about...
@@ChinaCycling yeah I gotcha. Understand the approach, love the new stuff and innovation.
Cheap bikes. I will never buy a bike made in china. Pinarello is number 1.
chinese quality
Idiot, basically most of the famous brands are made in China, name anyone you know on the world tour, it will hit 90% accuracy. Quality good or bad it depends of how much money you can offer , they will give you the equivalent quality standard in return.
The secret in their frames is they add tofu in it
