  • You got to give credit to this game, having the most bosses and having the fewest amount of them that can be cheesed. I'm curious to know though if there are any more that you all know of, leave your comments below.

@@DenseMass is it more polished? Yes. But Ds3 is less original, more spam oriented, with a world that has zero interactions, the worst covenants, shitty pvp, less original weapons.
Ds2 had the fragrant branches, pharros lockstones and other things that made the world feel much more alive, the ng+ cycles are the best of the series objectively, and arguably even the PvP is the best (no chain backstabbing (ds1) or rollspam and ganks (Ds3) ) . There are more enemy ganks in Ds3 than in DS2, and that's also objectively true. Ds2 has some bad mechanics, mainly soul memory, but it also has powerstancing and actually balanced poise (allows you to take a hit or two before it needs to get refreshed). Every game has bad areas, let's admit it. I will be the first to admit that the frigid outskirts are the worst of the series, even if by devising even a little bit of strategy I was able to encounter only one reindeer at a time, but at least it's optional, unlike the poison swamp of Ds3. That is very large, slows you down, looks horrible, and constantly poisons you. Therefore I prefer ds2 to ds3, and saying it is objectively worse is wrong.
Ok, I am done with my rant. Expose your points, and why you support your opinions, please. I really want to understand why you think the thing you say, and I mean it with zero sarcasm or anger.

And like you said the in world interactions between npc's and objects definitely cements this as best game to me. Yeah its got its up and downs, like the constant pursuer mini boss fights, but actually they bothered me much less on my hex build playthrough. And having a viable hex build!? First time ever running it on any dark souls game. And I can say the versatility of spells is so much better than 3.
Anyone still hating on ds2 clearly needs to go back and play it again. So much more to do the different levels you go to dont look all the same like one giant ass castle.
So yeah to me ds2 wins by a landslide. And SoTFs is the only version I've played and I love it. Ds1 was a train wreck that they improved on with 2 and then rehashed everything to make what 1 should've been with 3.

@@MattJDylan "it's not intuitive in the slightest"
... Did you read what I said ? When did I say it was intuitive ?
I said it wasn't anymore bizarre than parrying a giant flaming mass of metal.
I also said that in practice, it's not far less intuitive than even that.
Which doesn't mean it is intuitive, it's just mean that given that both are unintuitive, one is just even less intuitive (or, if you prefer : even more unintuitive) than the other.
Namely Veldstaat is less intuitive (more unintuitive) than Gwyn.
"he's 2handing an ultra weapon, which you can't parry even in pvp against players"
I didn't know you couldn't parry ultra weapons in PVP, or two handed ultra weapons, what I do know is that there are several parryable bosses, as early on as the first or second boss, namely pursuer, and that many human bosses (pursuer, lost sinner, dragon rider, dragonslayer, skeleton lords, mythra ; I know it's debatable that these last two are humans, but they were at one point ; and throne watcher and defender), as well as some humanoid bosses (ruined sentinel and gargoyles) are parryable.
And I'm not even saying that it is intuitive, especially since I personally always suppose that bosses are unparryable at first, until proven otherwise, which I won't attempt to prove by myself since I don't trust myself to do so. I'm just saying that it's not particularly weird in the context of DS2, and that *in principle* it's not any worse than parrying the pursuer or Gwyn.

When the game first released in 2014, cheesing was rediculously easy. You could crystal buff the moonlight great sword. Made the game stupid easy.

With the ancient dragon you can kill him super easy by going to his left back leg and putting yourself between the middle of his right nail and the middle one, remember his senses not yours, the left back leg and the right nails

Basically 'cheesing' is a non-cheating or hacking way to do something really easily, it happens on competitive player vs player games like Starcraft 2 as well 😄
