I’d like to add, I was an avid fan of Oprah since I was about 14 years old. I watched her talk show after school and as an adult I read from the Oprah Book Club list, shopped from the Oprah favourite things list at Christmas and read her book about training for the marathon with Bob Greene. I was an ardent fan right up up until that interview bc as much as I loved Oprah my British grandmother gave me the book “A Royal Wedding” in 1981. It was a beautiful photo album of Charles & Diana’s engagement, wedding and honeymoon and that began my interest in and eventual love for our Royal family. Even though I’m Canadian, watching that interview play out knowing Prince Philip was near death and knowing how heartbroken Queen Elizabeth would be changed how I felt about Oprah and watching her subsequent behaviour and learning her behind the scenes movements with Meghan I now dislike her. I never thought I’d say that. I dislike Oprah.

SHE made it that way.

Got the impression from Harry - from one of his interviews - that the conversation about skin colour etc took place long before she was ever pregnant - maybe even before they were married- if it took place at all and if it did, context matters. She, in her interview with Oprah, made it sound like it took place while she was pregnant with Archie. They can’t even sing from the same page the pair of them. They can’t speak out because either way they get themselves into trouble. Silence = collusion with Scoobido. Speak out and deny collusion = he can turn on them and then we have another court case! Everything Piers did here is genius. I am an American, and I hope everyone in the UK knows that the majority of us are NOT team Harry and Meghan. Many of the people I’m close with saw strait through that Oprah interview and didn’t believe anything what Meghan said in it.

Hi from Australia, Piers first thank you for standing by our royal family, every time I see that Oprah's reaction it makes me sick. From the first time I saw her strutting her stuff at invictus games I thought she's going to be trouble, I'm with you I've never believed them she's just a nasty piece of work, I do worry for Princess Catherine it's jealousy on Meghan's part. It was one of the most eye opening moments on TV ever for me- knowing markle was such a bag of hot air and so many people swallowing her whiny ungrateful story, then when Piers called her out on it, he gets fired. (the fact that someone who could see through rubbish and speak the truth only to get fired was the eye opener)
Basically I was gobsmacked so many supposedly intelligent people could be so easily taken in, including head honchos of your tv station. Not so strange that Harry got suckered in too.
In Scobies book, he says that the racist remarks were made “out of the hearing of” Harry and Meghan. How could they know about them then? Or who made them?
I am german and I understand completly that you are proud of your royal Family. Here are many people who adore Princess Catherine and also like the rest of the Family. . But i don‘t know somebody who has any symphathy for megan and Harry.

Harry has defuted this claim, so why has it come back to claim that Scobie even knows who one but two senior royals are named? It's a claim this didn't happen according to Harry saying it was not racist. That leaves Meghan interpreting that it was racist according to second hand account regardless of what her husband said. Love in Monticeto.
I am in a Commonwealth country but if I was a uk citizen I would do a petition to remove those titles, enough is enough, we are sick of them

Thank you Mr Morgan for revealing what the Dutch version of the book says because as you’ve inferred we the people of the world all deserve to know what the biggest liars in the world have said. If you notice, in the Oprah interview MM uses the plural “conversations” not just 1 conversation. Later, mealy mouthed Harry says he doesn’t want to talk about it. I find that couple despicable, boring, and ridiculous. So thanks again for your honesty (& BTW, you should never have lost your job.) from 🇺🇸
The Dutch are known for their excellent language skills. Even a normal Dutch person would not have translated that wrong.
I agree. American here. I lived in the Netherlands for several months some years ago. English is a required subject in their schools. Not everyone is truly comfortable speaking it but they absolutely understand it. I picked up Nederlands pretty quickly - it has a lot of similarities to English - so there was very smooth communication. No egregious mistakes in translation, especially with a professional translator, could ever occur.

Thank you so much Piers, for your strength of character. It's been so upsetting watching this drama play out, over the last few years. All caused by the Sussex camp, simply because they can't get their own way. Certain people have been cruel and vindictive, pushing the racist agenda, strange really when KC's favourite girl group, back in the day was The three degrees (3 beautiful strong women of colour) and he was apparently friends with them too.

Mrs Potatohead was saying Charles was friends with 3 black women of the group The Three degrees, since they performed at his 30th birthday party. First of all they were not friends, but she's trying to say Charles can't be racist, because they were his friends. And that Meghan wouldn't know that. This is true, as Meghan was not even born yet. So, is it Meghan that was born with an agenda, or Charles? So let the trials for defamation and treason begin. I am more than ready!!!!!

Meghan brought these "comments" up in her conversation with Oprah. That she made a point to bring that up, and Oprah's over-the-top horrified reaction was a clear accusation of racism. How ridiculous that Harry denied this. Sad.
