  • Review and test of the cheapest fabric shaver I could find online.
This one cost me just £1.37 including shipping! So I decided to test it against the worst pilling I could find.

What is a fabric or clothes shaver?
Fabric shavers are used to revive fabric by removing pilling/bobbles/lint and general signs of wear and tear.
Whether you call them fuzz, fuzzballs, pilling, bobbles or lint, a fabric shaver is great way to remove this unwanted fabric.

Thanks Jenny, they're really useful and tidy up clothing and other fabrics really easily. That said it's worth spending enough to make sure it doesn't fall to bits in your hands like this one does :)
Will check out your channel shortly.

Need one right now! Didn't have too much trust in these, but this is better than alternatives! Great review! Supporting your channel! Hope to see you over on ours as well.

Thanks Pusa Studios, appreciated. I'd say this shaver does the job, but don't go expecting it to last... At this price the build quality is pretty basic.

you have to love it when the device is cheaper than the batteries. You should try shaving your face with it next. (NO, Just Kidding) Glad that you shared. James Cox says you could use some attention.

Haha, I'll definitely be keeping it well away from my face!... Not sure what it cost to ship from China, but it can't be a very profitable item to sell. Was amazed to didn't shred the pillow at this price and quality!
Thanks for the support, James is doing great work at bringing us all together.

Seems like a horrible fabric shaver, no?

Depends on your goal CoriolisAffectment. I figure that at this price range you're not expecting beauty or high quality (and you don't get either), hence why I forgave it falling to bits, looking so basic, and not being mounded to fit the hand. I purely challenged it for free function on some serious bobbling!
To be fair to it, it was functional, although a little underpowered for such a serious task. For the price I was actually quite surprised it coped. The review was to show those thinking of going for the cheapest one on the market that it isn't completely useless, but you're right, it's been made to a super low price and results in a pretty horrible looking thing which falls to bits in your hands... I would recommend buying in a more realistic price bracket for a serious purchase that would last the test of time.

Yes. Even so, the price is still too much for something that is essentially a throwaway after one use. I also noted that you didn't tell us how long you took to de-pill the area you did. Also, a re-cap of other units that may be more suitable would have been a nice finisher..this way someone who isn't familiar with the product would have some inkling as to what would be better. Thanks for you considered response. I hadn't expected it, honestly.

No problem on responding CoriolisAffectment, I appreciate your constructive feedback.
In terms of the sped up sections, that's a good point, I sped up to 4xreality, so about 40 seconds of real shaving the first time, and a further 40 seconds for the tidy up. For a full pillowcase it would take probably 15 minutes to do properly.
I'll try and add a comment in the future on whether or not this item lasts, as I wouldn't say it's "one use", but it will be interesting if it last 1 year or not.
Appreciate the feedback... I make videos to help people, so I do like to hear peoples feedback and ideas to use for future videos
