- Whether backing up your phone, laptop, tablet or camera... we all know we should backup regularly. Well today is World Backup Day (31st March), so this is a reminder to complete your backups. This video explains the "3-2-1" backup methodology, which is a great way to make sure you have a good approach to backups.
I thought I'd go outside to make the subject of backups a little more interesting... my hands were frozen!
If data is important enough to backup:
- Keep 3 copies of it
- Use 2 different types of media
- and Make sure 1 of these of stored offsite
Don't forget to test any critical backups... if your data is worth backing up, it's probably worth checking it did backup correctly!
Let me know how often you backup, and what method you use in the comments below.
Happy World Backup Day!

Awesome reminder, I beleive alot of people don't really think about it until its too late. I do the same have a copy of important items stored at a trusted person's place.

Excellent reminder! Great video!
Thanks PippyPets! It's such a boring but important topic... been backing up my photos and even my CZcams video raw files today as I value them. I'm sure you have plenty of pictures and videos of your amazing pets that are important to you... so don't forget to make sure you've backed up a good number of them at least for now! Thanks for dropping by again!

I saw you on James Cox stream and as an IT guy, you're absolutely correct, at least 3 backup copies.
Thanks Rob. It always amazes me how little respect we all have for our data when it comes to backing it up!
Sounds like you have things in order... thanks for dropping by and commenting.
And it's always someone else's fault when the backup isn't made and the data gets lost.
