Coming from a new (to me) 2005 Honda Rancher owner.
I recently picked up a 2002 Rancher 350(videos to come) to go with my '86 Moto4 225. Lovin' that Rancher! Have you seen the cheap semi-locking front diff trick with cone washers? I want to do it but hate the smell of gear oil; that shit never goes away! Don't worry about the Rancher in the video: Salt Life ruined that thing long before they got to it.

You guys are acting like it was a brand new machine, the bike was fucked he said it was driven in salt water, if you have any idea what salt water does to metal thats why the racks are half rusted off and the frame kept breaking, it wouldnt be a safe rig to drive.

Dusten Smith i had a similar one i bought for 100 bucks, a guy used it to dig clams, it was a shit box, soon as i backed it off the trailer the front frame snapped i had a guy come pick it up the next day for 200 bucks lol i live on the ocean so im fully aware of what salt water does to metal haha

I had a 1992 fourtrax 300 2wd. No snorkel all stock. A friend and I didnt think the water was as deep as it was and I sunk it. Under the water and back up and it was floating for a minute. I thought it was dead. The breather was filled with water so I let all the water out and took the filter off of it and about 20 minutes later I got it started up, drove it home (about 7 miles away) drained and changed the milky oil and let it bump. I road that bike for another 2 years before I sold it with no issues whatsoever. Hondas are built to last

This painful and very reckless. I understand you guys do it for ur fun. My bike was almost the same as that one with really bad frame rust, so bad the steering wheel snapped. Bike was $500, bought good used frame for $350 and bike is running stronger and for cheaper than any of your 15k+ can ams ever will.

From my experience, the most reliable brands are 1 Yamaha, 2 Honda, 3 Suzuki, 4 Kawasaki, 5 Polaris, 6 Crap-Am. My crap-am never ran right since it was new. It just died a very premature death last year.
Honda will last you for ever if it's not abused. And the older ones are more durable than the new ones. But I agree for the most part.

My DS450xc had a bad clutch basket out of the box :p Eventually traded it for a car. On the other hand, I have a 1986 Yamaha Moto4 225 that I bought with a case full of water; drained it, changed the stator, did a couple oil changes, new air filter, carb rebuild and now it starts within .5sec of touching the electric start. Cannot be killed. Recently picked-up a 2002 Rancher 350 4x4; new battery, air filter, carb rebuild, choke plunger, tires, a brake rebuild and now I'm up to the headlights in water every day.
No what would have been even more humorous is if some how that Honda would have wrecked that kubota
