I’m the opposite but for the exact same reason! I save the videos for my entire attention, usually right when I climb into bed on Friday but if I feel like I can’t give it it’s proper dues, I save it for the perfect time.

You didn’t get actual Korean sweet potatoes, Korean sweet potatoes should be yellow not orange on the inside. They have a distinctly different taste and texture from western sweet potatoes. Regardless, I’m sure it still tastes good but kimchi and Korean sweet potato is a unique and tasty combination, you should definitely try to find the real stuff!
Was looking to see if someone had said this. Totally agree, the taste is different and a firmer creamy texture. My partner doesn't like the orange sweet potatoes but loves the purple ones.

When I was in hs, we didn’t have a cafeteria. Not far from our school was a place called Spudulike where we would go if we called ahead to order. It only served loaded baked potatoes. It was FANTASTIC!!!! I’m 60 now and still remember it fondly.
My favorite was the spaghetti meat sauce filled potato with meatballs. So freaking good.
You can make your caramelized onions and freeze them in serving sizes to use as you want. Very handy.
I think the Korean sweet potato recipe would be even better if you used actual Korean sweet potatoes like in the recipe video (you can find in hmart, called goguma which has purple skin and yellow flesh), instead of normal sweet potato you find in american grocery stores! Goguma gets much more sweet when roasted/baked and the flesh is not as watery

Its already been said before, but yeah american sweet potatoes are super orange and super sweet. Korean sweet potatoes are much more yellow inside and taste almost like chestnuts. The korean ones dont need any seasoning they are so good!

You can pretty much put anything on a baked potato and it’ll turn out good. The secret is to never eat a baked potato plain.
Cooked to perfection, even just some salt will make it delicious.

Here in the UK we used to love baked Potatoes - you don't see them that often nowadays. I remember as a kid going into a cafe and my mum order Baked Potato and it was enormous I think it was 3 cheeses and caramelised onions with bacon.

Hello David any my fellow Sock-fans, After years of lamenting that the yolks weren't runny enough for my taste, I discovered a very easy solution. I only cook the whites in ANY recipe and then plop the raw yolk on top. Or in the baked potato you could open it up a bit and put the yolk in the warm filling to warm it up a bit. Enjoy Jim Mexico

There are restaurants called The Potato Patch in the area I grew up in that specialize in huge, crazy loaded baked potatoes. My favorite are the Philly cheese steaks, but my mom loves the chicken fajita. Loaded barbecue baked potatoes are common in Arkansas too!

Ooooh you definitely should try the Korean sweet potato recipe with a real Korean (or Japanese) sweet potato. Kinda deep purple-y on the outside with an off-white flesh on the inside. You think the ones with the orange flesh are good? My god roasted Korean sweet potatoes are on another level. They’re so much sweeter and complex in flavor, and so much creamier in texture. I’d take them over candy any day.

Suggestion: mashed potatoes as a sandwich ingredient. Common in goblet sandwiches. I’ve done this a few times while making matzah sandwiches, it’s weirdly effective to hold things together.
