The experience of being in such a sudden and violent gunfight like that in a close quarters environment has got to be extremely extremely traumatic, i pray they all find peace and that their wounds heal. Both the ones you can see, and the ones you cant.

For example, she was planning my outings with my son through my son when I'd pick him up every other Sunday. He'd get into the car and run off the itinerary ( can't make it up) I still was allowing it, then after several months I told him, this is our time, let's plan together on what we would want to do. That was my last time seeing him after I dropped him off. I know he is well because I check his school's portal but other than that he wants nothing to do with me. 😪

Thank goodness they were escorting her regardless. And thank goodness this wasn’t a social worker and was 2 armed officers instead, otherwise, she would be gone, as well as the social worker.

Even a woman who has to be escorted by police for her own protection would not be able to legally buy a gun to protect herself in NYC. It took two good guys with a gun to stop one bad guy with a gun. Citizens of NYC need to be given their gun rights back. 😤
Ya exactly and at that, imagine how many times she’s called the police when he’s abused her and he probably hasn’t been arrested. They always say if he don’t leave marks that can’t arrest.. atleast in my situation they did. I can’t believe he really just walked up inside the house like that. I’m so glad she’s okay. The nypd’s massive $6-$10 billion budget didn’t stop this guy from owning not only one, but two guns I’m sure were owned illegally because legal gun ownership is practically impossible for NYC residents. She got lucky and luck isn’t good enough for law abiding residents paying that much for security.

You couldn't pay me to be a police officer. They work under very dangerous conditions and are not paid nearly enough. Officers thank you for your service!
They are paid HANDSOMELY. Their working conditions are well above average. Being a cop is not a dangerous job. Driving Uber or roofing or pouring concrete or working at a bar or at a 7-11 are all far more dangerous. Being a cop isn't even a top20 dangerous job in the usa.
And it seems like they did some amazing thing because the bar is so very low. But they just did the baseline standard job that's expected of them.

@@TheGabeOfGabes because people get grievously injured and killed in those jobs at a rates ranging from a few to many times the rate that police get grievously injured or killed. You can verify my statements with the federal bureau of labor statistics if you don't believe me. Every job I've ever worked in my life. Since I was fifteen, and in the 21 years after, and more than 10 occupations therein, has been FAR MORE dangerous than being a cop in the usa. That's just a fact. They are very rarely heroic, even. Mostly, they are bloody cowards.
