That being said, saying 7/9/12 million people watching is causing the media coverage, and not the other way around, is kind of dumb. It is media inflated and there was bound to be a backlash. To some degree, the same thing happened to Oregon before. Eugene is not a big place, I grew up there, and most people didn't know where the UO was. The only difference is between USC and Oregon because they have similar level of offenses that Oregon has a way better defense. The only reason the Oregon feel disrespected and was the underdogs was, because regardless of the Vegas line they were. I’m not even sold on Shedeur. He showed zero pocket awareness. He never stepped up in the locker when he needed to. He seemed like he has zero mental clock to get the ball out. He held on way to king when there were easy 3-4 yard dunks. He continued to back pedal and try to roll out of the pocket, which resulted in him rolling right into the Oregon DEs. Shedeur showed a lot of holes in his game. I’m just surprised no one in the media seems to point it out.

@@user-tz2zz5ij1s Coach Prime has said plenty of times that it's easy to say that when you look at Shedeur, but when they watch the film you can see things like routes being run wrong, coverages being missed, or just defenders being in a disadvantageous position. Keep in mind that Shedeur has only thrown one interception this season. Maybe his skilled position players (outside of Jimmy Horn Jr.) Don't have enough open air or aren't getting to their routes quick enough or the defense is just THAT good. They were either rushing him or covering his players, and that just shows a difference in.. well conditioning and athleticism.
Also, there are a LOT of opposing players who are (rightfully?) playing as if this might be the one chance they have scouts eyes on them.

They will still get attention. I don’t think they have lost the allure off of one lost. People are waiting to see what the future of this team will be. This is just the first season
