- The 2024 NBA draft is less than 2 weeks away, and the Golden State Warriors have the opportunity to bring in another talented young player with the 52nd overall pick. Their first round pick went to the Portland Trail Blazers, but there are still quality players the Warriors could pick up late in the 2nd round. Adem Bona is basically what they already have in Trayce Jackson Davis. They give you the same thing. I hope the warriors trade up into the 1st. Filipowski, Edey, De Silva, Missi would all be better options. I'm not high on Reeves. I know he can shoot but he wasn't the only one on that team who shot as well as he did. He's also the older side. I think I'd prefer Jaylon Wells or Enrique Freeman
2. Trade all the old expensive guys, their time is up. We could get some really good pieces for these guys and maybe a number one or number two draft pick.

I would love Enrique Freeman, but I think we have to move up to get him. Jalen Bridges our of Baylor is another option at the same position. And I really like Coleman Hawkins as a UDFA. He's a dog on defense and a little bigger than Freeman.
I never understand why people always say a draft is bad. There are always good players to pick
I attribute it to lazy scouting and the know nothing media.
They compare to drafts where you had the likes of Shaq, Tim Duncan, Zion Williamson, Victor W. As in no franchise players to potentially build a team around. It's not suggesting that none of the players can't become just that. It just means there isn't enough evidence thus far that they are capable of it.

The draft that had Anthony Edward's of some decent role players. He went number 1 for a reason, because he was the best player in the draft, Lamelo, and Halliburton are role players. That was the definition of a weak draft.

from what I remembering hearing in the 2020 NBA Draft. Warriors had a chance to make a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves to get the #1 pick that season.
Warriors worked out Anthony Edwards before the draft and Steve Kerr told Anthony that he wasn't impressed with his work ethics on the court. So Golden State didn't make the trade to get the Top Pick and then sticked with Drafting James Wiseman at #2.
Looking back in hindsight, could you of imagined a Steph Curry/Anthony Edwards Duo on the same team in 2024. 🙄🤔🤦♂

Kerr gave klay back the starting spot at the 2 despite the team playing perfectly fine with Poole there. Then he cut Poole's minutes in the regular season as well. Whether we drafted Lamelo, Haliburton, or traded up for Ant the result would be the same and their development would've been hindered.

You're right, we need to reinforce our front court, but we should address that in free agency, not through the draft. I would not mind a Klay Thompson sign and trade to Orlando for Mo Wagner and Wendel Carter Jr.

Biggest Grievance! That's easy. It comes down to one word. Phantasmagoria! (A series of illusions or deceptive appearances developed in the imagination). SUFFERING through last season, watching the Warriors imagining that they could extract Glory out of a Seniors' League team, while at the same time throttling the younger future stars... Metaphorically, again, suffering while watching the Warriors driving down the road with a rear view mirror that's bigger than the front windshield.

Get Nick Claxton and a wingman , and the Warriors will be once again in the mix in the West . Height is everything. Claxton plays defense , get rebounds, and can run . Very active as a big man
3. Fire Steve Kerr
Trade! Trade! Trade!! ALL BUT Steph, JK, Moody, Podz, TJD, Lester Q, and Gui Santos.
Zach Edey is 7'4" and 300 lbs. Why is he not in the discussion?
Grievance: Roster building...not having positional size 2-5. The Warriors have to look at building a roster with positional size advantage around Steph. I'm looking at a team like the Orlando Magic who were able to give the best teams in the league problems all year even though they aren't the most talented team...there defense was outstanding because of positional size up and down there roster.
They should get Bobby Portis or Christian wood, 6'10" guy who can shoot.
The last player that the Warriors drafted late in the Draft and turned into an All-Star was 12 years ago (2012) Draymond Green in the 2nd round.
The past drafts that are the most memorable are:
(1998 - Drafted Vince Carter and traded him on Draft night to Toronto Raptors for Antawn Jamison)
(1996 - Passed on Drafting Kobe Bryant and drafted Center Todd Fuller instead)
(1993 - Drafted Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and traded him on draft night to Orlando Magic for Chris Webber)
(1978 - Passed on Drafting Larry Bird , instead drafted (Power Forward) Purvis Short).
Ohhhh kay. But we also JUST moved to draft Trayce Jackson-Davis... ummmm... LAST year! 1978 to 1998 has less than zero relevancy to today and the entirety of Joe Lacob Warriors teams.

@@tonybayarea I'm just saying Lacob's Warriors have been impressively aggressive and they could hit again in this draft. The % of NBA players who become all-stars is incredibly small to begin with. This draft may not provide ANY all-stars starting from the first pick.

@@davidaustin6271 Been a Warrior fan since 1992. Been around when the team was trying to win 40 games a season. Just saying the Warriors last player that they drafted that was turned into an All-Star was Draymond 12 years ago. Will see if Trayce or Jonathan Kuminga could be the next Warrior to become an All-Star.
I like Antonio Reeves as a possible microwave scorer off the bench, but I just feel like Kerr is more likely to draft Pelle Larsson because they're both UofA alumni. I also feel like one of them will go undrafted and you can then pick that one up as a UDFA. I also really Coleman Hawkins out of Illinois as a UDFA stretch 4, who is also a dog on defense.
My biggest grievance is with Kerr. He's poorly mismanaged Moody and Lester Quinones. Kerr gave Klay way too big a leash last year and we still don't know what we have in those two.

Draymond at the 5 is great, but only in short periods of time.
Kerr had all the players playing out of position because they were too small.
Being so small caused the defense to suffer.
