WTF? that VW Tiguan was crawling carefully through and still failed. Didn't even look that deep.
@@gazrgazr2394No. most intakes are at the bottom of one of the front wheel arches. Manufacturers put it there as the air is colder which gives better performance and economy.
I guess the advertised offroad capabilities only work on paper😂
@@trainman665 a setup which makes sense on a performance car or any other car with some sporting pretensions but not on a mainstream family car. They have a sense of humour those Germans.
Nah, drove a 2021 Tiguan up til september 2023 as my work car, waded through similar depths several times without issues.
Must be something else.
@@jdmguy44a performance car is more likely to have it in the grill/air dam than the wheel well for the ram air effect. All my German performance V8’s have needed as much air as possible forced into them.

Britisher, pals, driving a passenger car through deep water calls attention to how poorly the number plates, particularly those on the front, are secured. The plates themselves are plastic, held on place with plastic nuts and bolts. Further, the shape of the plates themselves (long and narrow) makes them more likely to snap in the middle.
To contrast with Japan where the plates themselves are stamped out in metal, closer to square held in place by 12mm metal nuts and bolts. Many's the time I've been in the parking area of the Road Traffic Authority facility switching plates. Nothing suspicious as this is the regulation here in sunny Japan. When you buy a car that is registered in another prefecture you have to register it in your home prefecture.

No love the ruffled ford stuff, I live near Slash lane and that’s a puddle compared to normal. It’s still not passable now. You need to check it out 2 days after the rain when all the waters come off the fields. The amount of artics that get stuck is insane. It’s that bad farmers don’t take their tractors down. Hence “that’s a puddle comment”
