Seriously, this animation is AWESOME! Even if the fire isn't a fluid simulation (and i know how hard it is to make one like this), all the scenes give the exact same feeling as the movie! Also the cars, the camera shaking, all of this is incredibly well done!

I've watched this movie probably a hundred times, it was just my favorite when I was a kid. It is amazing how accurate you got the perspective of most scenes, and I like your subtle color grading like when the fire plume is glowing in red and orange while the rest of the city is dark and gray. Despite of the lack of photorealistic graphics you can still tell that a lot of work went into your video. Nicely done 👍

You captured the scenes really well! This animation preserved the tension of when the spaceships arrived in the cities. I also liked how you animated the cars flying in the air, I was kind of expecting to see the fire truck spinning in the air.

Great Job! Very accurate representation of the movie sequence, with many details. To polish up your work, if you have the processing power, try re-rendering using higher-poly models (you can just tessellate the existing ones) and higher quality textures. You can also colour grade, for acquiring that film-like look. Keep up the good work!
There is a valid reason for using mostly low-poly models. As the software has many limitations, I had to use low-poly models to keep the scenes as "light" as possible for a smoothly run. As for the textures, the software has a texture size limit of 4096x4096px but only in preview mode. Once the rendering proces is started, the texture size is considerably lowered. Indeed it's a big minus of this software.

Nah, just some ports of the vehicles from MidtownMadnes as the game took place in the 90s. Needed some low-poly models for my low-end pc

Absolutely brilliant. Just a thought, but it would be really awesome to see some of the wave 2 and 3 attacks animated such as Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, and Houston (which of course was nuked). Obviously none of of these attacks, besides Houston, were shown in the movie, but it's the same concept of parking over a building and blowing the shit out of everything.
My next step is making the destruction of the alien ships as the well-known "hello boys, I'm back!" scene. Not sure when the work will begin but that is on my To Do List.

And where u learn to use all those software at in you're description?
I wanna learn this coz I have great global disasters ideas.
For 7 minutes of animation took me almost 4 month. That includes: making the sets, setting the angles for camera, animating, compositing and editing video/audio.
The models were already made few several months ago and some of them were used from 3D warehouse.
I have learned by myself how to use the programs. But you can check out some tutorials on youtube. It's easy to learn
