This video not only contains Hollywood films, it also includes Japanese films, low-budget films, animated films, and documentary films as well. TV series and video games are again not counted in this compilation.

Actually, the Statue of Liberty should be the main target as it was destroyed the most with a total of 13 times (the Bridge was only destroyed 12 times, very close).

The Armaggedon scene where the Twin Towers get hit by a meteor is some of the most serious foreshadowing i've ever seen

@@armorpro573I mean it does resemble the positions of where the towers were hit. But the thing is that they swapped the status of the towers. Instead of the North Tower being hit at the top, it was the South Tower. And vice versa.

When GORGO (1961) was first in development, the producers wanted to set the film in Australia. However, they realized that Australia had no interesting monuments to destroy (pre-Sydney Opera House), so they opted for London with its recognizable locales. Great video - and I laughed to see the Eiffel Tower destroy the Arc de Triumph, since the two structures are no where near each other.

one effect we're yet to see is things being slowly melted, (by nanobots, or some sort of solvent metal/glass virus?) buildings becoming gooey/blobby would be an interesting/novel way to bring them down. i guess there was something a bit along those lines in the first G.I Joe movie, where nanobots ate away at the Eiffel Tower

I have to say that many scenes look well animated even very realistic but some on the other hand look so badly animated. But some with the small models also look very good.
The movies now make it look like something insane can exist like godzilla and kong and mechagodzilla from godzilla v kong. U know they are fake but they look like they could exist unlike movies way back then where u can tell the exact parts of the movie that were animated
Godzilla 2014 and pacific rim have the best animations in my opinion
