      @@nitto63 I just bought a complete new rebuilt engine. I’m mechanically inclined but not that inclined for me to rebuild a new engine. The engine itself costed me about 900 with tax and shipping. Keep in mind it was just the core.

    Awesome video, great information. The crank case screws in the bottom end get 17 foot-pounds. The Cylinder head cover up top is only 7 foot-pounds. I like Permatex on the gaskets as well, and blue loc-tite for the threads. I need to remember to oil up parts as I reassemble my engine. Well done video. Cheers.

    • @TodayWeWrench
      @TodayWeWrench  Před 7 měsíci

      Incorrect, crankcase has two different types of bolts which are M8 and M10 the M8 is 17 ftlbs and the M10 is 30 ftlbs. The head screws are 17 ftlbs. If you torqued your bolts to your comments its wrong. 7 ftlbs is nothing, the only items that get that torque specs is the Mag cover and Flame Arrestor hardware.

    • @robertfolk4583
      @robertfolk4583 Před 7 měsíci

      Glad you replied, you are correct. I rechecked the manual and not sure why I wrote down only 7. The manual says to torque to 9 first in sequence, then step up again in sequence up to 17 foot pounds. That make more sense. keep up the awesome videos, love them all. @@TodayWeWrench

    @TodayWeWrench When blocking off Is it true you still need to run the larger oil lines to the two (in and out) oil ports to keep the shaft gears oiled up? I know the small injection fittings get capped, but worried about whether or not I still need a tank with oil in my ski.
