My favourite ever SWW single. Absolutely brilliant. Should have been a massive hit, and would have been if RCA had promoted it properly. We had this as our wedding song back in 1984.
The mix of Dave and Buddy doing vocals reminded me of Hey Rock n Roll although I can remember thinking at time if it was case of trying to pacify Buddy by giving him some of lead as by the Dave was really seen as lead singer of Showaddywaddy
Great version never saw them do this on stage and i don't have this on nay of their albums Great band back in the day. They really did miss a trick not relasing this as a single shame
BBC Radio 2 were good to Showaddywaddy with this song they were plying it every day and I think RCA were unkind to Showaddywaddy this could have been a massive hit if They had not signed with RCA Buddy did the spoken part of the song and Dave took the lead Vocals I loved the intro and I thought this was gonna be a huge hit with the amount of times it got played on Radio 2
Everyone’s opinion is different…. I love it, the tempo, the sound, the harmonies. Some people are too precious about music, songs & tunes. Dave was certainly not a diva.. they all had different strengths and I think they had fun & a bloody good time . RIP Buddy, my all time crush, and Al……

cracking version, never gets airplay
Love this,who wrote it?
Cynthia Well and Barry Mann.
I always thought they did a superb job on this, though it was probably a bit too different (and a bit too late) for it to be a success.
its fantastic, a shame it didnt chart
i thought it wa shite and it defined the end of my love affair with SWW....a tenner says it was a Bartram selection??!!
i love it...democratic decision
