I think in a low horsepower car really makes you think about keeping the momentum up and not scrubbing speed and help you prepare for better machinery
Alternative title: I experienced what it is like to race for Haas.
I love my C1 just starting the video, better not be any slander
Did you know that in Spa-Francorchamps there is a 24H race with only C1’s? It’s pretty fun because there are 100 participants 😆
Damn i bet the pack is a full lap long!
Any time someone loops it on the formation lap is comedy
Rocking chair should be a standard seat in this car 😆
These cars would probably be fun as hell if there was a field of them but multiclass with them all having 200hp+ more is tough.
there is actually an officical racing series! great fun to watch, 60+ cars on the field
Damn, pullin' some serious Gs in that thing!
Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the new year!
I think it s amazing, because you can notice every mistake you make. Because it's going to cost you a lot, because it is so slow to get up to speed
You are experiencing Gran Turismo in real life where you start with the slowest cars 😂
You should have taken some sandwiches and a flask of tea with you 😂
Just to add thanks for the McClaren setups. Just needed to fix the tendency of the rear to step out due to physics difference between PC and PS4.
As a spec racing machine the C1 is fantastic, great handling little thing that teaches people to carry momentum. To compete against other machinery? Nah mate it's useless, but if you're wanting to racing on a budget the City Car Cup and C1 Racing series are great. I think there needs to be more focus on cost effective motorsport for the masses and cars like the C1 allow it.
THIS CAR IS AN ABSOLUTE MACHINE!
You should race in the C1 endurance series or even just the silverstone 24 hour race
Race them against eachother and you will see just how much fun you can have for less than 4K
I've got a C1 as a daily, it's an ace thing.
Lol. Even though it’s funny to see you driving this thing. Tbh it’s still worth doing just to make sure “new drivers” can understand how to be on track with all cars so you get familiarized with driving. Most people would definitely love just to race at Brands. It would be a lot better with the one make 🤙🏽
Still quicker than the Haas
The fact that you could get close to such faster cars shows your driving skill.
These cars look awesome in the City Car Cup. Good show.
Looks like a blast, mate! Even if you're alone at the back of the pack, Slow Car Fast > Fast Car Slow
What you learned in this video? You learnt that GT3 is amazing as all cars are equal. 😂
Hi James,
Just so you know the corner the BMW passes you on is T4 Surtees then into McLaren.
Loving your IRL videos.
Chris Humphreys Brands Hatch Experience Track and Flag Marshal.
Thanks for making races possible mate
You could do ACC tips and setups members only. It would be amazing. Just an 💡.😁😁 Another great video!
My mom once drove one of those with a surfboard on top of the car and the car barely reached 100kph on the highway
Ohhhhhhhhhh! So this is what it feels like to be an AI in GT Sport.
only second and third, up to 6000rpm, I was used to that feeling 😂😂
A C1 should never be on the same grid as that fast stuff!!
Surprised you didn’t lose concentration during the race
Even in a C1 a loss of concentration can still result in a large crash
Birley blasting past !!
James you are best 👍
Trying to get a gt3 seat< driving a season in c1 cup
Btw hope your Sim Grid race went well. I haven’t seen it yet but I’ll find it on Twitch if you live streamed it.
We need Mclaren tips please, lol even in split 3.It really is so teammate dependent. Pole was 47 flat in split 3 BMW
Who supplied the cars for the license trials though? Did the WFG team arrange it or did you need to source the cars/teams yourself?
You learn to deal with traffic man ! That is not easy thing to deal particulary in 16 sec diff on Indy !
standard 1.0 engine?
I say a VR38 will make this car great
Race to fall asleep to
White Fiesta was using his gear that's why he was losing concentration and also why he minced you on acceleration but of course you know that. By the way I'm...well I'm sure others are as well...but pretty upset that given what you showed against seasoned professionals in your British GT Championship season that seats would have been made available I mean like Pronto in single seaters, DTM or at least GT3, GT4 and TCR but then again who am I to suggest to a team principal that a proven racer with potential and pedigree would attract sponsors and boost their profile significantly more than the rich Dads paying for seats to expose emptiness to put it decently. Great race and video and commendations for keeping your focus on the goal not the gold.
David Perel explained it pretty well in his recent videos. Talent and results are secondary in racing for getting a seat. The car and the team need to be paid for. Sponsors is what is relevant. Talent can help you get sponsored, but it's not a guarantee. And if you have the money without the sponsors you can pretty much race wherever you want.
@@hkr667 of course but some of the best drivers, multiple Championship winners came with nothing and was given a chance just a chance and the best team/s have taken that risk. Funny though it seems mostly those instances were all McLaren...well Nissan did as well and maybe that's what need to happen more if sponsors are expected to contribute. Imagine paying for everything; academy, rent a car to get the license then some clown who is not committed or even want to race except his Dad says you must...get ahead maybe cause mayhem at his Dad's circuit because rules and discipline are not important.
Fiat Multipla cup when?
I think if you're doing the c1 24hrs at silverstone then it's just about ok, at a stretch, otherwise really what's the point of racing it, let alone driving a normal one lol.
I don't suppose you've ever watched an onboard from the Nordschleife. There's plenty of skill involved in racing a slower car while keeping out of the way of the fast machinery. The number one blunder I see at all levels of novice racing is unnecessary energy loss. That's a lesson you have to learn to get anywhere in these slower racing series. Every time you turn the wheel from straight ahead you lose energy. It's very noticeable in a car with a low grunt-to-drag ratio. If you start racing in a muscle car you might never learn. Smooth, smooth and smooth again.
What do you mean its slow you nearly had 10g in corners kappa
