A Sizzlin' Redfish Florida Sunset 2024

- Back to running a bunch of skinny water creeks near sunset and flippin' top waters and suspending twitch baits and finding a few Redfish in the Chassahowitzka NWR here on the Florida Nature Coast.
These skinny creeks look like a blast. That is some crystal clear water! What a LUNKER!!! Fun day out on the water. Hope you have an amazing long weekend!
Thanks!! This time of year the Gulf is reel clear in shallow water and with the temps getting near 80 degreez the bite should continue to improve.....Have a great weekend!!

There's a lot of power in those spotted broom tails...and I really enjoy a tow around the back country.....LOL!! 2 hours earlier that same Hawk flew reel close from the south right by me while I was running a creek....It was too late to get that up close footage that I've been able to capture in the past.....Sea Ya!!

Thanks Thomas!! These big broom tail Redfish will drag you all over the back country and with all the nasty rock bottom and mangroves you really have to keep up the pressure or say goodbye to the plastic!!
That is incredible how clear that water is down there. That red at 6:00 was a monster!

The skinny water can be a reel eye opener in the spring and intimidating to those that are not use to the clarity.....All the bottom structure is in plain sight just waiting to grab your lower unit.....LOL!! I'm just starting to find some of the big boyz and girlz that are willing to tow me all over the creeks.....Enjoy your weekend!!

Beautiful fish, beautiful sunset, Wes. I'm dying to get back up there. Boat is ready to go, just clearing the calendar from windy weekends and the family calendar. This Sunday is looking good.
LSJ.....Thanks!! I'm finding more Reds and I've lost a few small snook...... And as far as trout is anyone's guess!! Just finished up mounting a new Yamaha 25 HP 4 stroke on the skinny boat with electric start.....No more yankin' and crankin'.....LOL....I've been waiting for the weather to change and this weekend is the ticket right up to dark!!

EA Thanks!! It's a Skitterwalk with a set of 4X VMC red trebles.....I change out all of my new baits rather than use the originals.....I use a lot of size 4's and 6's......Have a great Easter weekend!!

Thanks Lee!! I'm using 10 lb. Ande Tourney Green Mono on the reel and 30 lb. Ande Tourney Green Mono as leader....I've been using this set up for a long time....Every once in a while a Snook will get the better of me.....Trying to try out the new 4 stroke 25 Yamaha this weekend!!
