* as a disclosure, I am sharing this as I think you will be interested in it. I have not been asked to share this but wanted too. The Instagram components of this collaboration are a paid promotion for my time and materials on the artworks.
Hello, my name is Shelby and I am a potter based in Victoria, Australia.
In this vlog, I get ready to do it all over again! After selling out at my first market, I am attending another Finders Keepers but this time I am heading to Sydney!
Grab your early bird tickets here: www.thefinderskeepers.com/sydn...
* this lets you in first thing with out delay of waiting in line and paying for tickets! This is how a lot of people grabbed pieces really early one at the Melbourne event, I highly recommend!
Throughout this video I take you behind the scenes of all parts of the process with lots of Timelapse's. The Timelapse's make it a little easier to keep focused on the work at hand whilst being able to show you what I am up too.
I hope you like these videos as a little something different whilst I prepare and I will have my regular goodness back soon once I get through some of this work! - Zábava
P.s I know the music gets a little louder in some spots! I have actually been having a lot of issues with exporting my longer form videos at the moment. I am not a tech wizard so I don't know how to rectify the issue so the only way I can get it to export is with the music a little louder. Please do let me know if you see any glitches. I have checked it a number of times now and it was working fine but please let me know so I can reupload it before it goes live to the rest of the subscribers!
So far wonderful video.
Your lively personality and lovely everything is enough to "fill" the video even without music. To me music generally is distracting but obviously people have different preferences.
Love your energy. Thanks for all the inspiration🎉
Your lavender color is technically periwinkle. Lives in the inbetween world of lavender and blues. Using the mushroom mugs as planters is a fabulous idea! Especially with the warmer earth tone colors. I know its nice to get out and meet your peeps at shows but honestly they are so much work. If your online stockings sell out that quick not sure why you should go thru the hassle. Congrats tho on both opportunities.
Wow. I was going to say the same thing about the lavender looking like periwinkle. It is a very nice color either way. Have a great sale and a warm, summery Christmas!
Now that you have an advent calendars under one belt, you can make one a month for the next year's advent calendar.
I'm from the U.S. and logically knew Christmas is in different seasons around the world, but was thrown when you said Summer will be on people's minds. That is so cool to watch someone across the world!!
Whoever got their hands on the advent calender needs to upload their daily reaction so i can live vicariously through you, please and thank you 😄
The purple Mushmugs looks periwinkle to me. Lovely blue with purple undertones. It's a beautiful color :) Your work on the gravy boats is spectacular!! Each and every one is a beautiful work of art. I know they will raise a lot of money for the charity.
The designs for the gravy boats are beautiful. Happy to hear that the advent sold out and that your right on schedule for Finders Keepers. Well done Shelby.
Forgot to mention. Your gravy boats were fabulous!!
I love the wombat and koala mugs. It’s a goal to get a pair for my collection 🧡 it’s been so cool to see your business grow exponentially over the years!! 🎉
Congrats on all the hard work. I hope the market is a huge success for you.
That "lavender" mush mug looks periwinkle blue to me. Still very sweet though
Wow! It takes a village! So proud of you Shelby & team! Way to hustle & stay the course! 🤩💖
The gravy boats are SO ADORABLE! They came out GORGEOUS! It’s a waste of time to doubt yourself, you’re so talented!
Toooooooo cool, alll of what you're up to is very purposeful! Love the sustainablity message behind the gravy boats and thrift stores! These studio vlogs feel like way more than "content" lol
Wow, what an amazing effort! You're doing such a great job
The "lavender" (it's definitely blue too me too) mushmug is so pretty!
The Aussie animals are just too cute, they are the first thing I think of when I think of you, even though I found you through the mystery molds
Those gravy boats are awesome!
I love your videos and watching your business grow and see your confidence grow. You inspire me, and I am sure you inspire many around the world to tap into their inner creative, too. Thank you for being you. ❤
I work with a lot of alcohol ink markers, and the blue is definitely on the lavender scale for me. Very pretty. I also think the light makes a difference, and depending on what kind of lighting falls on them, they change color too. Sometimes blue can become grey-ish, or green trees from outside ones home suddenly make everything look slightly off.. :-)) I always enjoy you opening the kiln! The surprise, the just staring at it for a bit... I love that. It's joy.
Those gravy boats are just so strikingly beautiful! Boy, did your hands just cramp up with painting all those pots. How fun it all looks.
Thanks for these behind the scene look vlogs, it's lovely to be taken on this journey with you. They're a nice occasional change from the mystery mold vids.
Wow, you have been flat out haven’t you! I am not on Instagram, found you via CZcams shorts about 2 mths ago, then searched for your longer vids and was blown away - you are so sunny, yet pragmatic, talented, funny, artistic and I love pretty much everything you make. My favourite I saw recently (working my way through mystery moulds) were the set of 3 vases you made into potion bottles, they were AMAZING! So happy for you getting your bigger kiln. Wishing you continued success, some rest and downtime to replenish yourself & Merry Christmas, xx
Loading and loading the kiln is very, very fun - it is also a LOT of work! I'm impressed with your volume of product.
Wowza! You accomplished so much!!! I agree the “lavender” is much more a periwinkle blue on screen but pretty nonetheless. I loved your gravy boats….so gorgeous!!!!
I wouldn't be able to choose among the butter dishes. I love all the colours.
😮I love the Albergators!
I'm personally a huge fan of the koala and wombat mugs. I was going to order one for myself and it was sold out.
Trust me you’re not the only one who would love to order something.
Good luck with the market. Look forward to purchasing some of your work from your website in the new year.
Shelby!! The gravy boats turned out AH-MAY-ZING!
I have that Ghanda jumper with the sunrise on it! So cute
I can’t wait to hear about your success at the market!
Well done, what a lot of work you've all done. Congrats. Those jugs you are auctioning are gorgeous. Such lovely and unique pieces. Good luck at the market, hope all goes according to plan.
Busy busy! So great to see you and your business flourishing 🎉❤😊
Absolutely amazing. As a budding crafter you are an inspiration. I love seeing how even when something doesn’t turn out you always keep a positive spin on things.
I want the brown mush mug 😍 or the toadstool with the groovy 70s flowers
Im going to finders keepers in Sydney. Can’t wait to see you!
Your gravy boats are amazing! Great job for a good cause.
So looking forward to seeing your strawberry pieces before the markets x x love from Bunbury western Australia
Shelby the gravy boats are gorgeous! I'm sure they will sell well - I'm very inspired! You have done so much this year, I hope you get a good break over Christmas.
The new colored mushmugs remind me of these handbells that were at Pa and Tooie’s house when I was a little girl! Each mush too was a different color and size so they had different tones- I loved those so much!
(Pa and Tooie were my Mom’s parents. My sister gave Tooie her nickname when she was a toddler😊.)
So happy for you!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
Your gravy bowls look beautiful.
I think the yellow gravy boat is salvageable. Have you see Arnel’s vintage orange and green mushroom ceramics? I am in love with the coloring of that set with the yellow, orange, and green.
So much work and you totale earned your succses. 😀
You've come so far! Oh my gosh your pieces are beautiful and how quickly they've sold is something to be proud of. You deserve it 💞. I love how you've wrapped and numbered them with such care along with the attention to details.
The gravy boats are cute and I am loving the gingerbread boats ❤. The ones that took my attention the most were the flower styled ones 😍. Thank you for sharing the updates and your new pieces.
Best wishes to you 💕
3:09 bruh , it's like a cartoon character unrolling a list/scroll that just keeps unrolling, and rolling, and rolling 😆
7:17 ALL OF THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ✨🤩✨
The light purple mushies are pretty as are the mustard? The gravy boats are definitely works if art! Congratulations on the sell out.
That looks like periwinkle, which is a lovely colour
I loved the coffee mugs. Now if only you had ones that said TEA.
I feel like the "blue" mushroom mug looks like the color periwinkle.
All beautiful. This time my favorites are small crokodails🐊🐊🐊so cute.
I know this is a month late, but a few american breakfast staples from Texas:
Migas [eggs scrabled with peppers, onions, cheese, tomatoes, chorizo, and crunched tortilla chips] with Texas Toast and Refried beans
Biscuits and Gravy [A round, savory scone with more butter 😅, split in half and open-faced. Thats smothered in gravy, a beschemel sauce with black pepper and slightly spicy pork sausage]
Breakfast Taco [soft flour tortilla wrapped around your choice of refried beans, scrambled eggs, bacon or "ham", crispy american bacon, cheese, diced fried potatoes, chorizo, avocado, queso pico, salsa....]
'lavender' mushrooms look periwinkle!! i love them, very pretty!
Those gravy boats were amazing! You did a great job and the amount you raised for charity will help so many. Thank you!
Love your artwork ... I do beads , one piece I didn't like but it was the first that sold . So just create we all see things differently. Peace
We just never know.
Good luck at the market. Xx
The yellow banana boat is actually a star.
Good luck with the market, I hope it's a runaway success like the Melbourne one was!
That gravy boat idea is super cute love them
Astounding collection! I wish I lived in Australia and close enough to go to your market.
I’m inspired by you on so many levels. So happy you came through my CZcams suggestions this year Shelby! 🌻
Pink mushys turned out amazing
I love the pink mushrooms so much!
this is fantastic, i love those crocodiles❤❤❤
Love it all 😍👏
That blue is more a periwinkle. It’s pretty though. You work so hard. My brother and SIL live in Australia and I’ve thought about ordering to send to them for their new house.
3:12 I've never seen someone use that filter for blurring the potential addresses. That's really smart and blends in well ^^. This next year I'll try to save up for something hopefully, if budgeting allows
Super job. ❤❤
What do you do with the items that have cracked?
Have you ever thought of kintsugi? It's where items are repaired with gold, or a golden media. It's traditional Japanese fixing of ceramic. It makes each piece unique and incredibly beautiful
OK further in the vid you've answered my question haha, note to self finish vid b4 commenting
oh my, where is your amazing lavender top from. I'm obsessed with that knitted collar ^^
Wowza Thats a really fast sellout!
If your ever worried about only certain people being able to buy your calendars (or other items) due to quick sell outs. ive heard of some companies doing a raffle system to be able to purchase at restock (so everyone signs up then with restock send out equal codes to the item and that goes to a private store/page inorder for them to purchase. If people dont buy then redo again with the mew unsold number. Then people from other time zones or are busy during restock time can get their hands on em)
The mushroom maybe is Periwinkle? Hard to tell through screen still super cute never thr less!
Wow those gravy boats are so amazing! You have to start selling something similar.
7:32 I love this one ❤❤❤❤
👏👏👏
The 70s colors were yellow 🟡, orange 🧡, olive green 🫒, and brown 🟤.
I love your spirit 😍😊
In my experience purple underglaze tends to go more blue the higher it’s fired.
I know you said a planter but you could also put some wax and make it a candle holder
Can you let us know exactly what products you used on the gravy boats? I’d love to make one of my own. What a great idea!
Love these try butting a extra hole in the back then you can make a wire hook that can then be hung
I think it's more of a periwinkle ... 😊
Hmmm I see those little hidden pitchers , what are you hiding, Shelby
Gravy boat could be used has a custard for a plum pudding
The little sad faces on the pallet pieces 😢
How many minutes does a bisque firing take, compared to how many minutes does the glaze firing take?
Do you still use your little kiln along side the big one?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Come 🎶 Mister Tally man tally me banana… 🎵daylight come and we want go home❗️🎶
shelby..you need a bigger kiln
Do you have a cardinal one?
Can I purchase your creations in the United States? Please let me know.
periwinkle
Do you ship to the US?
The 12 days of Christmas start on 25th December to 6th January. Was a big thing in the Middle Ages 😀
