In first movie Oogway said: "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it". Shen try to kill all pandas, after knowing he will be defeated by warrior black and white, which cause him to create that warrior.

Shen found Peace at the end of his life and quietly met the end by his cannon. In the end the black and white warrior that defeated Shen was himself.

I actually rewatched KFP 2 yesterday after a long time and man, it’s still a great film! The tale of Po’s past really is tragic. Lord Shen is one of the best animated antagonists imo, right alongside the Wolf/Death. Props to the writers, animators, and Shen’s VA, Gary Oldman for bringing this character to life.
That says alot considering that Wolf/Death (puss in boots the last wish) is a new Villain (new movie) and Kung fu panda 2 are years apart from each other.
Is it just me or did Aimin didnt understand Shen right? From my perspektive it looked like he thinks Shen is just Evil for no reason. 21:03

Shen's voice actor, Gary Oldman, is a beast when it comes to acting, one of my favourites

I won't deny how amazing the first movie is, but KFP 2 will always be my favorite in the trilogy. Exploring Po's backstory and his trying to find inner peace with who he is. Also, even though Tai Lung is an excellent antagonist, I much prefer Lord Shen, to me feels like a deeper character, he can feel both funny and intimidating
You know that a main villain is hardcore when their first crime of the movie is straight-up *_genocide._* Lord Shen is one of the the best villains to ever come out of Dreamworks, and in my opinion the greatest of the Kung Fu Panda villains.
Personally my favorite part in Kung Fu Panda franchise.
If you don't tear up at Po finding his inner peace scene and his reunion with Mr Ping (the goose) at the end, you've lost your soul long ago
The Third movie's Villain is the strongest and my favorite as well. All Villains of Kung Fu Panda is Top Tier.

fun fact: Kai's theme was inspired by the song called "i'm so sorry" by imagine dragons. That's because the lirycs in this song perfectly fits the character, so the compositor made a theme with copied notes ;) It's a cool detail tho.
Its interesting to note, a warrior of black and white was never a panda. The warrior Shen would be defeated by...is himself. A black and white peacock. His actions led to his own destruction and the soothsayer had constantly warned him trying to divert him off that path. In the end it seems he realized it and accepted his own death...that he had caused.

kung-fu panda 2 theater experience was once in a lifetime for sure. Kung-fu is not a kids movie, it's an everyone movie. There is something for everyone. if you like dark themes then you'll definitely like kung-fu 2. It's the darkest movie out of the trilogy. You got me when you fake ended the video, I was about to click off the video until my nephew walked in my room and started talking to me while the video was still playing and then I heard your voice again and i said wtf. Then my nephew beat me up cause he caught me cussing, so thanks for that lol 😒😂 I still wonder to this day why Tom from Tom and Jerry are in this vide? lol like what!

Kung fu panda 2 is pretty easily the best of the series, & might be the greatest kids movie oat, it's definitely imo one of the greatest movies oat regardless of genre, love action or animation

That's my personal opinion but i like KFP 2 more than the 1, it was more "adult", more emotional and the epicness was even better (damn the OST when the tower falls is 🔥) Glad you liked it !

Actually, he was projecting.
Shen has unanswered questions about his parents actions when they exiled him. In his mundo he did the right thing because he could continue his experiments with gunpowder without some rando killing him in the future, but what his parents saw was their beloved son turned into a ruthless genocide, so instead of executing him, they could barely bring themselves to exile him. The stress of doing that severely shortened their lives, if it was from health complications ir by blade we don't know.
Shen not knowing any of that deluded himself into thinking they hated him and when he found out the truth he was already formed by the darkness he walked into.
Knowing that his opponent had similar questions he decided to project his “answer" to him, knowing full well how cripingly painfull that feeling is.
All 3 are good but the first one just better in my opinion

He tries to kill the panda race freeza destroys the saiyan race brainiac destroyed the kryptonians while po’s parent try to save him by leaving leaving him where he may not be found gets adopted and raised and comes back eventually to avenge his race
