Love the NF reactions, keep them coming please. I'm a little surprised that you didn't really say anything about the subject matter of this one though. NF being an outcast in rap, not trying to fit in or follow what anyone else is doing, and creating his own lane. But true that there's a lot to take in on a first listen with the visuals, flows, and everything else.

In the first set of lines to this song he says "Door's locked but the keys are in my hands. Hmmm, yeah that's weird doesn't make sense does it? I make songs, I don't make friends. Judge me." This line has tie ins in multiple other songs of his, he talks a lot about locking himself in his own box. Every song has got a lot of symbolism in it, and the "box" shifts in meaning sometimes, but here it's absolutely talking about how he is separating himself from the typical feel good vibes that most of the rest of the music industry tends to stick to. Thus, he makes himself the outcast. #realmusictillthedaywedie
Also, he absolutely is one of the most cobsistently aggressive rappers ever, because to him this isn't just music. It's not just about if it sounds good, looks good, or does good in the industry; it's about if he does some good for other people who are struggling with the same feelings he did/is. This is his way of pouring out himself so that other people can connect, and benefit from what he's gone through.

I enjoyed the artistic creation from NF: the production video; the lyricism; the progression; the hook; the chorus; and the overall song. That was my first time hearing NF; I've read at least one of his lyrics before-- he has mad skills with words. Now, I have to say he reminded me of Em-- in fact, I thought it was Em just listening to some of the elements he used with tonality and cadence. His message is slightly more relatable than Em's with a storyline and syllabic rhymes, but while I can appreciate this song, I just can't see myself listening to it. I will have to check out some more of his content before making more impactful judgments about him. I stopped listening to Em because I realized I was drawn to his music but not his messages.

Aggressive isn't a word I would use to describe NF, I think this song is a good look into what his rap is about, it's all about looking into mental health and what someone goes through, and NF is the outcast rapper because not many rappers touch on that. Do more NF.

Algorithm. Not sure if i know a ton about hip hop but my preteen years was dj jazzy jeff. Teens was NWA and 2 live crew. Loved Cube and Eazy so i kinda went to rock when itwas dre pac and snoop. Then Em was the man from day one for me. Now NF... My favorite... strange huh

Just watched this and ran back through your 1st 3 NF reactions, and now I'm a new sub :) Happy to see more NF reactions in the future.
Would love to see a Tom Macdonald reaction if you're not already familiar. Completely independent artist not only writing his own songs and producing his own beats, but literally and physically packages and mails out every physically copy of his music by the thousands ... oh, and his GF Nova shoots and edits all his videos which Tom builds out the sets for. I'd suggest "I DON'T CARE" to get the cliff notes of his story. After that, your call. "DEAR RAPPERS" is basically what pulled him out of poverty and is a great jump off point. There are also songs like "CLOW WORLD" and "BRAINWASHED" which hit on sociopolitical current affairs. #HOG
