- This video is about an Allen & Heath QU-32 Audio Mixer. It is part 1 of a series of training videos I have produced to help my PA team migrate from a traditional analogue audio mixer to this new digital desk.

Thank you Paul. We've just bought this desk. Most useful and user-friendly video I've seen on it yet!
Love the warning label.
The best
Paul Hi, can I control plug in parameters in Logic? and is there a scribble strip? so I can see which track I am on?
michael algar sorry don't know about the Logic settings. Try the QU support forum on the A&H website. Unfortunately there are no scribble strips.
Will the idr-32 work with the qu-32? I seriously don't want to buy 2 stagebox or dsnake
+touchainz entertainment Sorry, no idea. Just a user, not an A&H employee or agent!
What portable hard drive are you using that's compatible with this QU-32?
An old Western Digital 500GB My Passport (USB 3 version). You can find the full list of compatible devices here. community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/qu-drive-compatible-usb-device-database
the digital era just makes it more easier than the analogue's
Obviously, who needs separate rack for EQ, compressor, gate, delay... pre amp....
Everything is here in a digital mixer
Hi, Whats the middle section on the channel names strip. Yours seem to be lit up with names, all other QU32 strips I have seen appear to be black.
Regards
Roy
They are just labels printed on magnetic ink jet paper.
Thanks Paul; what a great idea...
how to setup waves multirack useing usb b on qu32 mixer
+EDWIG TIMMER Sorry, not familiar with multirack. I would suggest asking on the A&H digital forum at community.allen-heath.com/forums/forum/qu
What did you use to label the channels? Magnetic labels?
I printed then onto magnetic paper from a master I made in Word.
Could you email me your Word master so I don't have to start from scratch? blaystuff@gmail.com Thanks!
Can I connect 32 inputs and will they show up as separate tracks in my DAW - Able 10 live?
Can't see why not. However, I don't have any experience with Able 10 live. Certainly shows up in Audacity as 32 channels on my Mac.
According to the guy in my local audio store, yes! And hes the distributor and knows his stuff. It blew my mind when he told me it could. How it does that over USB is pretty cool.
can I use it for home recording studio?
Yes. It looks like a 32 channel soundcard on a Mac. I believe that there are also drivers for PCs but suggest you check with the A&H website. There are also DAW drivers for Macs
i got the qu32, is it possible recordin multitrack using cubase 5 on a windows 7 pc?
I believe so but since I use a Mac, I haven't tried it.
please i need help with it
+Bobby Briggs I would you try asking in the QU forums on the A&H website. I don't have a PC to connect to the QU32 I use
ok thnks
hey man! so i have a question; can i record all 32 inputs from the QU in protools?
MrGamegast I believe so. I don't use Protools but I have connected it to a Mac and it shows up as a 32 channel sound card
Paul Wilton okey thanks!

Hello there. A quick question, how do I recover the admin password on my Qu32?
Thanks
Wesley Penteado sorry don’t know. Try emailing A&H Support.
Paul Wilton Thank you anyway. Please allow me one more question. If I save all my sets in a pendrive, then do the factory reset, then upload my saved sets from the pen drive. Will that work? Thanks again
Wesley Penteado from my experience most of it comes back from saving everything to the pen drive. Things that don’t come back include IP address and passwords.
it looks like you have a scribble strip?
It's funny you say that. I thought it had one solely based on this video so I bought one and was disappointed to find out it doesn't. I'm still impressed with it in other ways though.
