  • LeBron James joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018, and won a championship with them in 2020. The LA Times said that LeBron’s contract extension will “restrict their ability to win.” Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy, and Ric Bucher ask if the LeBron era in Los Angeles has been a success.

And the 1 time they missed the playoffs was cuz your 2 best players missed half the season? it is funny that ric tried to compare lebron at this late stage in his career as a laker and compare it to the other laker greats who their primes were pretty much with the lakers. even kareem had more of his prime with the lakers than lebron did.
you can't compare shaq's time with the lakers to lebron because lakers had shaq's ENTIRE PRIME
lakers got 2 years of brons prime and they won a title. 2020 was the last year lebron was in his prime, he hasn't been the same since soloman hill dove into his ankle.

Wilt wasn’t in his prime w the Lakers & they went to 4 Finals in 5 years, had the most wins in a season(69) for 24 years, have the longest winning streak, won a championship. Not to mention they lost 2 classic nail-biting Game 7 NBA Finals games. Once AD arrived in LA, the standard & expectation was to be in the Finals more often than not. They haven’t even won a WCF game let alone another Finals after the bubble.

The Lakers missed the playoffs with Lebron and no AD on the team.🤷🏾‍♂️I never seen Lebron win a championship with him and "only" 1 other all star, or "only" 1 super star or just him by his self with great role players.🤷🏾‍♂️ I've seen other great players do it, why not him.

Lakers were tanking to be in the bottom 3 during 2010's. They litterally had no choice but to tank. They failed to sign top FA. The reason for tanking is they did a stupid sign & trade with suns on Jul 4 2012 for Steve Nash. They gave up protected picks for a guy who was a free agent in his late 30s. If ur pick is top 3 protected & u failed to sign an all star why wouldn't you tank to keep ur pick & rebuild?
