#meatbox #mantic #basseffects - Hudba
Both sounds awesome!!
the hulk sounds almost TOO SMOOTH
Thanks for the video; I can't make up my mind on this one, but...DOD has reintroduced the Meatbox!
I listened to this with some Ultimate Ears 11Pro's and the Mantic wins for the insanely clean amount of sub bass
DOD Meatbox aka "Speaker Killer" wins for me , great pedal!
anyone else getting silence through their crappy computer speakers when the suboctave is cranked? :D
Hell of a late comment, but just by chance, in case you still have either of these, would it be possible to hear a demo of them acting as EQ/boosts after a nasty fuzz/heavy distortion?
I still have both. They both generate their own tone so a fuzz sound will essentially go away if you put one these after it. Not to mention tracking issues with the fuzz messing up the fundamental of the sound.
Once I’m done moving I can test it out and see, maybe it’s a great combo. I’m a big proponent to trying things differently!
@@AdamAarts that would be awesome! I'm aware the octave would destroy any fuzz tone, which is why i was wondering about what it would sound like with the octave totally out/dry signal only and just using the EQ alone to thicken the hell out of a fuzz/drive. Been wondering what it'd do for a doomy, sludgy guitar tone too.
I know Takeshi from Boris uses a similar thing called the Boot-Leg Deep Box which is a sub-bass EQ/boost pedal, so I was curious if the Meatbox could do similar stuff...
is the meatbox clipping the low end a little or is it just my playback system?
Meatbox begins to distort (in a nice way imo) when full blast
Dial the output back and it should sound smoother
I'm about to buy a meatbox. they're on sale at Harmon for $150. guess they found some NOS?
Which one of these pedals tracks lower notes? people complain the reissue doesn't track as well as original. true?
People also complain the reissue CUTS volume even maxed. true?
Looks like they dropped the price to about $75.
What’s the deal with Harman? I thought they were discontinuing Digitech (which is unfortunate. New old stock? Or quietly resuming production?
@@somewhereman8 I called them yesterday...he acted like he didn't know. he said they might have got some more chips. he said they might make a few more or they might drop em after this for a few years. was he playing dumb? idk. but $75 is a STEAL. never going to see it that cheap again. I bought it $150 but they're refunding me the $75 to match the current price
@@somewhereman8 I honestly might buy a few more just to have em on hand. if they go back up to 200-300 on reverb it's a no brainer to stock up on 3-5 pedals
@@levijessegonzalez3629 That’s awesome that they refunded you the difference.
@@somewhereman8 it is. but I was kind of pissed because I bought it then literally the day after it goes on sale
I've owned both, sold the Meatbox, still have the Hulk which to me has a smoother, cleaner tone. The Meatbox has more of a synthetic presence in my opinion... & I honestly hated the design on it whereas the Hulk has a timeless look
