    Can you have equal differentials front and rear where one's not running faster than the other or vice versa or slower than the other also why didn't you use more diff oil can't you use more diff oil than that shouldn't be totally up to the brim with it I don't understand how they did it cuz I thought people put a lot in there and the stuff sits in there?

      The kit build is with equal front/rear differentials. The kit also comes with a separate gear set to over or under drive one end of the car. As far as the diff oil, the amount isn't as crucial as having equal amounts in both diffs. You could probably add a bit more, however when closing them up it might get a bit more messy (all the excess oil flowing out).

    Great build and running video’s. Have one on order, fingers crossed we get good supplies hear in UK. Are the XV01 alloy suspension holders compatible with the XV02, do you know? Is there a copy of the manual available on the web? Trying to be ready for the end of the month, when they are due to land here!

      I'm pretty sure they are not the same arm mounts. As far as a manual, I'm working on that right now getting it on the web. maybe by early next week.

    Looks like those diffs and the centre spur are easy to access and maintain. I think I saw it is possible to install a centre differential to the chassis. Does the manual talk about that option? Thanks for the great content 👍🏻🙌🏻

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  Před 2 lety +1

      Yup, pretty easy to get to all 3, actually. Besides the solid spur gear there is a fluid-filled gear diff option. I have one but have yet to try it. The only issue with it is that, since it's a gear diff, you have to use a Tamiya gear, or the 06 mod setup. Not sure if they're coming out with an adapter to allow the use of metric gear pitches.
      Now, there is a slipper clutch setup that is also available - you can use your own gears for that.
      Tamiya also sent over a spool and a ball diff as well - more options to try!

      @@Competitionx looking forward to seeing what all the different gearing options do to the drive performance. I need to give some thought for mine but likely to play about after the stock build I think. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

    Which spur and pinion are you using in 48p? want to get those before the build.

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  Před 2 lety

      Running 25/77 in 48P at the moment. Seems like a good ratio for this track.

    Don't other companies make a 06 mod pinions?

    • @Competitionx
      @Competitionx  Před 2 lety

      Yes, even Tamiya has a good assortment of 06 Mod pinions. However, if you don't have any to start with, I really don't want to buy a bunch for this car (especially when I have a box full of 48 and 64p gears already).
