Thank you, I am glad it was enjoyable-they were great days in the 70s and the football was amazing especially on those muddy pitches lol...

I am not a Stoke fan but I must say I really enjoyed watching that. I have seen clips of the final before in colour, but watching it in black and white gave it a nice vintage feel. I always get the impression that Stoke were a very good side during this period, and were rather unlucky not to win a few more trophies.

@Gocavs1990 Thanks- these memories are from my child hood days....My gran used to live in Boothen road just around from the ground- I used to go in at half time and go behind Gordon Banks..Great days.

The Stoke side during the early 70's was the best Stoke side ever. The players that Tony Waddington signed were some of the best in England, but as usual, because they play for Stoke, they do not get picked for England. Even today, Greenhoff, Hudson, Smith, Pejic, Banks would be automatic England players. Richie should have played for Scotland. If a little luck had been on our side we could have won 1 League Championship (finished 5th) 2 FA Cups (Twice beaten by Arsenal).

It's called "We'll be together". I have the 45 single, written by Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent.

Eric Collins Why not? Oh, I forgot.... Being proud of one's skin colour is racist unless you are black or coffee coloured! The only racists are white racists aren't there!
