I love that they used Baohong paper. Mijello actually have their own line of watercolor paper which I saw on taobao
yesss, i saw those too! sadly the mijello paper isn't as accessible worldwide

Damn, annoying of them to put them in an opposite order to normal and make you put them all in individually again to have yellow at the start, like just having a joke for our inconvenience. Otherwise, a good design, good to think of left handed people, having the palette moveable to the other side, or removable entirely. I didn’t realise so many halfpans aren’t exactly the same size and shape.
I don't remember how I bought this palette with pans but no paint, but I did and super thankful it came with the pans because it is hard to find spares. But it's great palette, super strong and small enough to be easily carried around and still has awesome amounts of mixing space.
I'm really surprised that Mission Gold don't use honey. I live in the UK and mine go solid enough to not run away in a plastic, wood or metal pan, but they remain very sticky even in the winter.
ohhh that's iinteresting they sell it without the paint but with the pans. they really should sell more like it!
The pans are actually placed the way I like! I prefer to bring down my paints from the pans to the cover/mixing tray. 🙃

That's a *really* great palette design! They've surmounted most of the problems I've had with palettes - including the beading up of paint! (My only remaining complaint is not being able to use generic pans with it.) Such a thorough and helpful review, Vee, thank you. I hope the housing situation is working out and hasn't exhausted you. It's very good of you to stick with us in spite of all that!

Just a note if van Gogh pans fit then that means Rembrandt and Windsor and newton half pans will fit as well. I always save my pans from the cheap Windsor and Newton travel company sets.

Thank you for this review! The palette looks really interesting with lots of mixing space.
It is a pretty palette with a good selection of colours. I just wish they included a true Viridian PG18 since PG36 is the other green in it. Mijello is becoming wiser and wiser when it comes to pigment selection.
Also, I wonder if they have discontinued their Permanent Red Light PR168. I can't find it anywhere.
considering mijello's range doesn't even have true viridian on offer, i think maybe PG7 would be the next best thing. how long ago was it that you got ur mijello PR168? because i dont think i've seen it before. you could always email mijello directly and ask :)
@@PaintinHiding I saw PR168 on Blundell's swatch page. Earlier it was available on various e-commerce websites but for the past one year or so the colour is not available.
@@monsoon_magic2874 if you want to try MaimeriBlu, they sell a Permanent Red Light, PR168 watercolor as does Daniel Smith as Anthraquinoid Scarlet. :)
