Hi Adam, to make your parachute (drift anchor) work well use about 6mtr rope and add 2 meters of chain, it will work HEAPS better as we use them here in Tas all the time !!!.... not very often smooth water fishing like up there 😃

quick coat of rainX on the windscreen should make a hell of a diference, dont have windscreenwipers either on mine, 1 coat will last a few months

Congratulations on the new boat. It amazes me that boat owners or manufacturers don’t use the front of the boat as an effective casting deck by installing a decent waist high bow rail up there. Great section for throwing lures around

Yeah our bow rail is a bit higher then normal and is good for throwing poppers off the front, I was doing it last week off the Cape

Yeah mate I’ve used rainx a few times, I don’t it helps a bit but not enough, gonna try ceramic coating, then wipers 😂

Cheers! Mate honestly all the sounders and GPS combos are good. Personal preference I think, but a good transducer and placement is key. Try go 1kw or bigger for any offshore work and play with it till you get it reading perfect
