I play through the entire game from start to finish, and I collect every single gem, crystal and platinum time trial relics on the way. No shortcuts are taken and all bonus room entrances are used. In order to get the final gem from Coco and finish the game 105%, you need to have gold or better on all the time trials. Platinums aren't necessary. If you play the NTSC version, you will automatically get platinum on Hot Coco and Eggipus Rex, but my times are within the PAL platinum requirements. Overall, my time trials are far from perfect and there are two reasons for that. First of all because I'm simply not that good, but it also shows that you don't need to be perfect in order to get platinums. You do have to be close in some levels, though.
This playthrough was done on an emulator with save-states between every level, so even though it looks like it, it's not a single segment run. I did this because the point of the video is to be a helpful and thorough guide and not a demonstration of skills. This video exceeds three hours and that means it's my longest serious video yet. This game had it all. Speed runs, racing, jet skiing, platforming, tiger running. I remember the game being mindblowing at the time. I also recall the crash team racing single player mode to be so futuristic.

I'll tell you something right now, for a game that came out in 1998, this had some pretty nice graphics.

I remember this so well because our ps1 didn't have a memory card so my brother and I would play it for hours and days until our mom turned it off each time attempting to reach a higher level and a better score. We literally memorised these sounds and every little bit of the game. It was one of the best parts of our childhood.

Easily one of the best platform games ever made. The music, the control, the visual art, the characters... You could run, ride a tiger, be underwater, on water, and even freaking fly! Everything is entertaining as fuck from the moment you turn on your PS1 to the final credits.
This game is a legend, and being 28 now, I can only appreciate how lucky I was to play this game that was worth 15$ back in the day.

I played this game when I was extremely young so I never really knew what was going on or knew what my goal in the game was, just played it for fun and didn't give a fuck after that. Watching this was like watching something out of a dream it just felt so surreal.
I literally had the same exact experience as you, all I knew is that I fucking hated that dinosaur level
I was 11 when this game came out. Still one of the highlights of my childhood to the poker tournament I can quote the likes perfectly and remember the soundtrack dead on. This game was amazing

I’m 23 as of March 2022 (24 this December) and I’m watching this play through as warped was my first bandicoot game I ever played back on the PS1, it holds a very strong connection to me and my childhood. Bone Yard brings back so many memories, getting stuck in the grass and the triceratops killing me, good times 😆 this game as well as the Simpson’s hit and run are pivotal and paved the way for me becoming a gamer. Thank you for this trip down memory lane 🙏
It took you about an hour to complete Crash 1, about 2 hours to complete Crash 2 and about 3 hours to complete Crash 3. Anyone see the irony in that?

Same here! I'm 20, and yet I got N. Sane Trilogy JUST for this game! I just wish I could get a new PS2 along with this! Ya can't ever beat the classics no matter how modern they make the past!
This was my first crash bandicoot. I was 9 and didnt have money to buy the memory card for PS1. It took me soo many days and frustrations to beat this game in less than 24h. Anytime i had to turn off the console i needed to start from scratch. I was so relieved when I saw the ending.

He even said in the description "Overall, my time trials are far from perfect and there are two reasons for that. First of all because I'm simply not that good". So before making bullshit statements, use your brain (that is, if you have one).

My landlord's son, a seaman, had a PS 1 and introduced me to Crash Bandicoot Warped and Resident Evil in '98-'99. One gave me so much fun and meted me a challenge, the other, sparked my love of horror survival games, all when I was only eight years old. I've never owned a console and I don't have the dexterity for playing video games, but you'll never find a bigger fan who loves Orient Express and nearly crushed a controller making sure Coco stuck that landing in the end. Thank you for letting me relive my childhood through this. This puts a smile on my face and in my heart like you cannot know. :)

I so Love this game! However I would change a few things if I could to make it perfect:
- Add a Death Route with the Red Gem in Bone Yard
- Add a Red Gem Path in Gee Wiz with a Clear Gem.
-Replace the Red Gem in Deep Trouble, with a clear gem.
- Replace the Purple Gem Door from Tomb Time for a Death route instead.
- Place the Purple Gem in a Death Route in Double Header.
- Add a Purple Gem Path (instead of death route) in High Times instead, leading to a Clear gem.
- Death Route in Gone Tomorrow (instead of gem path), leading us to the Green Gem.
- Add a Green Gem Path in Toad Village (leading us to a Clear Gem). -The Death Route from Flaming Passion would have a Clear Gem in the end instead of a Greem Gem.
-Would scrap "Hot Coco" away, give it an extra Pura level instead.
Now we have Crash HD Remasters, So next time we need Spyro HD Remasters.

When I watched even the first 10 minutes, it felt like a memory which was buried deeply in my heart, had just brought roughly into the sunlight. Even ahead of that, I felt like I am still in my childhood! I wish I could have the chance to stay at that time forever..

I seriously remember playing this back when I was a kid! My favorite bits was how most of the SFX were in some areas, like when ya had to knock Cortex into that vent! I really loved the noise that thing made! And another fav of mine was when N. Tropy uses his staff like thing to make those horizontal beams! I loved how they sounded! And finally, that rift that comes up in the 100% ending was awesome! I just loved when it starts expanding and yet the zaps kept going crazy! It was truly amazing to listen too! Memories I tell ya! 🥲

@Morgan Matthews-Read Its actually being remastered by Vicarious Visions (the developers of Crash: The huge adventure and Crash Nitro Kart). Sony is helping them with the project but I don't think Naughty Dog is involved with that.

I had crash bandicoot 2 and 4 as a kid. Played them all the time but I never beat either of them. Didn't have a memory card either so I would start over everytime.
