    I am a lover of the Long range and exploring nature. It is impressive to see the videos of your flights, they are incredible in distance, flight time and impressive images. I would like you to give me your recommendation based on the experience you have. I want to change my iflight chimera 7 chassis for something better. What would you recommend, Aos Falco 7 or do I continue with Iflight Chimera 7? I am also going to change my engines for the F90 1300Kv tmotor.

      The choice will depend on what you want to get from your flights. If your goal is to fly long range & capture GoPro footage then something like my RAD Li-ion frame would be a good choice, it gets really crisp GoPro footage but requires a bit more work to tune it really smooth. If you are ok with a couple kms less range (still fine for like 16 to 18km round trips) then the Falcon 7 is easier to get smooth video from it with minimal tuning. If you want the most range possible and don't care about GoPro footage then I suggest the RAD Scout which gets only ok GoPro footage but has amazing range due to the low weight. And the Falcon RPM is similar to the Falcon 7 except it adds some extra weight to bump up the GoPro footage quality so I consider it more of a mid-range quad (although it still does long range fairly well. It's just not as efficient as the other frames).

      Thank you very much for your answer. With your experience and tests carried out, the time taken to explain the use and performance detail of each of these frames is greatly appreciated.
      For people who are starting out, these recommendations that you offer us are of great help.
      I will take your advice into account and choose one of these frames according to my needs.
      Your videos are incredible and inspire us. Keep it up.
      Regards, mate.@@FalconRadFPV

      My FPV camera is at 25 or 26 degrees and the GoPro is at 27 degrees.

    Hey Falcon Rad, I just bought the RPM and can't wait to build it. Quick question: What is your MAX amp draw? I have some Tmotor 35a 32 bit single esc's I'd like to use with some 3008 1155 kv motors. Will those work, or do I need bigger esc's?

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  Před 6 měsíci +1

      The tmotor f35 ESC's are pretty good, you should be fine using those. Flying long range I don't usually go over 60 or 70 amps total for all four ESC's together. Although flying at the test field or doing freestyle it will go higher than that if you're hard on the throttle.

      @FalconRadFPV thanks. Waiting for my rpm to be cut ✂️ should be 3 to 5 days.

    Love it! Do you have a favourite 7" props? Mostly thinking about what the optimal pitch would be when flying with a 1200g quad for example.

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  Před 11 měsíci

      I use gemfan 7037 props the most. 7040 or 7.5" for heavier setups and 7035 if the build is one the lighter side. 1200g all up it should fly alright with 7035 props at 1300 to 1500 kv.

    How do you keep your quad stable in high winds cause I assume it gets choppy up towards the top?

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  Před 11 měsíci

      A good tune helps as well as a stiff frame. I'm also finding that 1500kv is a little better than 1300kv for windy conditions.

  • @alperenozgur
    @alperenozgur Před rokem

    you always use 1W for analog? spesific reason why not higher?

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  Před 11 měsíci

      I always use 800mW on my analog setups. I don't go higher because it's harder on the VTX RF amplifier and I have never needed more than 800mW. With proper line of sight and good antennas 800mW will go farther than any drone can fly. Using 1200mW or 2.5W will get some better penetration through trees and other obstacles (helpful if flying long range on flat terrain where it's hard to keep line of sight) but with long range if you fly behind a mountain ridge line or a rocky outcropping no VTX will help you keep video, no matter what power it's running at. With an X-2air by trueRC the record for distance with useable video is 10km with a VTX set to 200mW!

    Rear facing footage not stabilized for a specific reason?

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I used clips from a dozen different flights and I think I just missed processing one or two of the clips through gyroflow. Not sure why it looked like that though, probably didn't have a good tune on the quad yet for shooting those clips.

    Any recommended 6S?

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  Před 11 měsíci

      Batteries? I use molicel li-ion cells to make my own packs or GNB lipos. The 4500mAh would be good for some long range, and I love how it fly's for mid range with the 1500kv motors 7" props and a 3000mAh 6s GNB lipo.

  • @dewhoop
    @dewhoop Před rokem

    Do you feel any difference using 7” vs 7.5” props?

    • @FalconRadFPV
      @FalconRadFPV  Před 11 měsíci

      With a heavy quad I can get a bit more efficiency with 7.5" props. But 7" props feel more responsive and nicer for agility. I fly the Falcon RPM with both 7 and 7.5" depending on what I'm doing with it. For long range I use 7.5" props and li-ion packs and for shorter range stuff where I don't need to worry so much about efficiency I'll use 7" props and a lipo.
