Chris is a talented & gifted guitarist & simply sublime.
im glad that becker inspired two of megadeth's guitarist, broderick and kiko and also was once a partner of marty friedman
Jason Becker Is not a Guitar player...he's THE GUITAR PLAYER!
Immagine for a minute that he could carry on after twenty years of age, and I am talking about playing with his own fingers......
Dear God.....perhaps for every other guitarist on this Planet, it was wise to make Jason stop right there!
Other wise, every one else would be just Shadows.....
Jason Becker is an astonishing soul forever.....
Chris pls do a solo album!
Treble and bass notes simultaneously. Awesome.
Originally, he's a classical guitar player; it's in his nature!
My favorite Megadeth guitar player!
+SHREDDer IFIC I guess you didn't see "My" favorite Megadeth guitar player. It's his own opinion you stupid dumb bull shit
Great guy and awesome musician!
Awesome player and a cool dude.
Chris is a monster alongside mr loomis.
This guy makes guitar look too easy. But the stuff he’s playing takes years or even decades to be able to do
Yeah, Chris is insane.
Better start learnin now then
"Valse Venezolano" what a great piece of classical guitar, ¡Gracias! 🇻🇪🤘🏽😎👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The sens of melody...and beauty ..a supra killer
I don't know why, but Broderick and Loomis look like brothers to me.

Same seven stringer 😄
Mrravena I agree with you hahaha
Loomis is more pasty
damn now I can't unsee it.
I love how he uses low profile floyds...Wish more ppl would do that.
the best
I think him and Loomis are two of the best in the world.
I wait for Adam Jones
THIS!
Give it about 10yrs
Justin did one, so Hopefully Adam does one soon.

Never going back to Ernie balls until I tried nyxl
That might change with the new Paradigm strings, so hyped!
NYXLs are good but they don't last that long...I'm trying to find something that actually lasts. Cleartone says they last 3x longer but in my experience they don't. The reason why I don't use EB is because the unwound strings (top three) get dented very easily. I dunno, maybe I press down too hard, but the NYXLs don't do this.
surgeyX yeah, I've tried cleartones, they sound great yeah but the longevity is pretty much the same.. nyxl's just last the longest for me 2-3 weeks
surgeyX Elixir.
Try Elixir.
They last forever and I have unbelievably corrosive sweat, as well as having having hidrosis.
Eddie's Guitars Ive tried a few sets but I didn't like the way they felt, it was too 'fake' for me in my opinion at least
D addario pro steels.. try it
still waiting for John Petrucci's the pursuit of tone episode. Im sure that will be a 'Main Event' or main course episode.
Nice name Bro
chris broderick I wanted to be mufugga but wasn't brave enough.
I don't get the guitar sound in this video. I much prefer "liquid" sounding guitar tones than something so scooped with too much bite on the attack. The recording is very clear, though.
it's probably one of his live lead tones. If it wasnt as bright as it is here, it probably wouldn't cut through that well.
George K. I think he still uses Engl Savage heads which are very dry and crisp. His pickups are also very bright and mid heavy IMO.
The ENGL sound is pretty cold anyway. Not a lot of warmth.
Sounds very compressed too.
Best playing, best sounding most highly polished strings on Earth. Ernie ball 4 life! 🤘
Yeah when I play guitar I don't feel much difference in tones when it came to strings, but the feels were different for sure.
Amazing guitarist! One of my favorite.
Megadeth missing Chris Broderick and Shawn Drover. And Ernie Ball are awesome strings.
Adam Jones.
That's the guy he was in the band with Megadeth
dreamguitar
fuckin trolls!
Kiko is sick. But I am always intrigued by his finger picking skills
Yeah, Broderick style, atmos of his melodies, dark feeling... i love it.
Ernie Ball strings might be the best out there but sometimes when you're strapped you go with the Da'dario. Steve Vai uses nickel strings. Billy Gibbons uses 7 gauge and Yngwie uses 10. It's all how one feels. But if I had a choice I'd use Ernie Ball's
ADAM JONES
Is it just me or did the Ibanez guitar sound cleaner and better? I think the Ibanez are better
Chris was super clean with Ibanez.
It's funny when I discovered Loomis I'm like he's kinda like Broderick and next thing you know it they have done stuff together.
What's the piece he starts playing at 2:30??
Josh Middleton
4:03 What was he playing?
What song sounds around 2:40?
Ive played Ernie Ball strings for 13 years. I just bought a 3 pack of a differnt company's strings. I regret it now.
Me: I think he is guitar god.
Chris: Meh, th..
God: Yes, he is.
What's he playing at 4:03???
Anybody know what he's using to keep the pick on his thumb? I tried out the Jam Kat and it didn't work for me.
Probably best for me to just to make something myself, I bet.
Sweet! Thanks
They're called thumb picks. You can find them at any good store!
Its ACTUALLY called a "pick clip"... he invented it, and it allows you to clip the pick of your choice into it and attach it to your thumb, to free up your fingers for right handed tapping... you can order it from his website...
i wish he was still in MegadetH
I prefer kiko over chris though, his style is so unique
what is he playing at 2:58 ?
I think its a solo piece bro. type in chris broderick slap guitar
I love that he never uses a bullshit hair scrunchy when he taps
bofuscrapshaw what's wrong with that?
Why is anyone complaining about his tone or playing? Oh wait, you stayed up past your bedtime and feel like a big boy. Oh shit!!! Here comes your moms!!
You think people aren't allowed to have opinions, or are you just threatened when people have different opinions from you so you need to make ad hominem attacks to make yourself feel better, despite the fact you didn't address their points?
So, I can't have an opinion? Dang, guess I will resign from the interwebs.
Gregory Deering your a fucking idiot
Heavy metal Val Kilmer.
Someone walk in the room.switch to the neck pickup and say play while walking off
I was expecting this guy to play awesome on this video. I don't know, there's something wrong. Maybe the sound, maybe he had a bad day. Who knows.
stonerdemon yes he was definitely having a bad day that’s exactly what it’s like
Strings are strings.
I hate these strings
Wow, that tone is terrible.
probably an Axe Fx
Sounds like ceramic pickups. Never heard a ceramic/ active pickup that i liked.
I found Broderick kinda strange....using a seven string while playing for Megadeth
Ernie ball strings, aka strings that break after a week of use. Elixir, D'Addario and cleartone are much better options
Splitty d addario a shit when I put them on In knew that you had to have a sick amp and guitar but the tone that was amazing with Ernie balls went from good to shit and I was like...WHAT THE FUCK,so when I took em of and put the Ernie balls back on then I knew that they were much better
Fucking amateur.....
Elixir poly webs are the best strings made and the only company to do the coating the right way
nerd
I really thought he was better... gee... a lot of missing notes there!
It´s the tone, the pick scratches are higher in volume than the actual note, so it makes it look a little sloopy, but it gives that 80´s shred tone. It´s cool, but it´s horrible for note clarity.
They are there, what sucks is his tone, not his skills.Cant understand why nobody told him, hey this might be great for live performance, but it sucks for the camera.
IDONTWANNAUSEMYNAMEFUCKINCZcams It's the tone dude you can't hear it from the beginning
Right on, let us know when you're "better" and more accomplished than him.
IDONTWANNAUSEMYNAMEFUCKINCZcams We are all waiting on your godly guitar demo video
Chris has the nasty habit of using too much gain that muddies his playing..... Jeesus....
Ken T Nevermore influence. You can clearly hear him changing the primary tone of Megadeth when he was with them and released album with them.
SHREDDer IFIC ohh i didn't knew about that. Well Dave is the boss there so..yeah but the sound was much much heavier and had more complexed riffs and compositions going and also not to forget Chris's crazy lead works. :D
His tone with Jag Panzer was better
You lost me at 7 strings.
Dont like the style in his playing.. Dosen't Sound right with the hand position and so on
