Here’s a quick video of what’s inside the boat! 400 watts of solar panels, trolling motor, heater etc. It sure gets some looks on the river. Cheers everyone! The adventure continues.
Thanks for following along! This channel gives me more freedom to post things other than a full 20-30 min camping trip, when I put the shorter vids on the other channel I got complaints and lost subscribers
Steve Wallis Step 2 yo steve your the man real friends will follow you where ever, subbed to both channels and wait for a sub on either one 👍🏽 much love from someone from so cal 👌🏽
Sweet setup! Thanks for the update, brother. These adventures are awesome during the weird times we live in. Especially love the arms up salute from crazy neighbor every time the camera is on him. Haha
Steve’s got talent! Check out his older boondocking video/film. Still one of my favs. Great personality for this format and great eye for 🎥 and editing.
Just turned on thr youtube and saw this upload and got so pumped. And rushed to your channel to watch. Cant wait for the whole upcoming boat video. Cheers om the number 2
Good morning Steve and Crazy neighbour. From Engand 🇬🇧. Thank you again for your video. It sounds totally crazy but your adventures and great sense of humour have helped me no end through these dark days of Covid. When its been hard I've rewatched your videos. Thanks again. Enjoy your step twos 🍻🍻
In the days of my wayward youth we would spend days drifting down river in our raft(s), and always had cans of beer submerged and drifting along with us. Because it was Oregon, thus the river was fed by glacial runoff, we knew our brews would be drinkable whenever we popped them open.
Lol who's the haters that could hate Steve? This is not a bad video, don't worry bout the haters, still a great video my man! Mad love from Colorado to you all, northern neighbors or locals.
@@DClean Look at the like/dislike ratio. There are no haters. It is unreasonable to expect 100% of people to enjoy every single thing they come across.
Thanks for the video! Tthe minuscule efficiency advantage of an MPPT controller is basically meaningless at 400 watts under most conditions. I found a cheap PWM controller that allows me to select the absorption voltage (14.9 for 6 volt X 2 golf cart batteries) and has temperature compensation. I doubt you could find another off-the-shelf controller that charges my batteries any faster. Great to see you are out in the plastic barrel-toon raft! Can't wait for the whole story.
Steve, you look like you could definitely use a Step 2! Hope you guys get a special delivery so you can imbibe onshore before your trip ends. Crazy Neighbor's arm waving in the background always cracks me up. Wishing you full sun for the rest of your trip.
Over cast cloudy conditions are perfect for photography or filming. Professional people love that weather the light is even on the face and in this video everything looked bright. The river is beautiful plus you have a beach and privacy your so lucky. So many people are coming up were I am there leaving nyc. It's getting crowded here I don't like it. Wish I could visit Canada I never traveled there before but the mountains are beautiful. My beloved California is on fire the Redwood National Forest is burning breaks my heart. That's we're I'm from . Nice video thanx 🤠
The trolling motor claim of lasting 5 times longer may be true, but only at the very lowest speed settings. So if on speed 1 of a traditional resistor based speed control motor, it may draw about 5 amps while your PWM based motor would draw only about 1 amp to get the same RPMs to the prop. At higher speeds, the difference drops of until max speed, where there is no difference at all.
Finally going camping for a couple of nights!!! Inspired by you mate - thank you❤🍻 Got my ice tent that goes up in a flash, bright orange tho😂😂 Not stealthy & kinda hurts the eyes😮 But my camp will be set-up in a flash (of orange apparently) 😮😃 It's going to be a chilly early spring on around mid 20 Celsius, so the "ice tent" should be "allllll right" Cheers & thanks mate
That looks like a dream vacation and I'm so jealous. If you are ever in Southern Washington for vacation I will be more than willing to show you some amazing spots in the states
Late one night you thought, mmmm, I might go rafting down river with Crazy Neighbour, mmmm. But then you are Steve and you actually went out and did it. Can’t wait to see the main footage. Good luck you 2 and stay safe.
Just thought Steve you could use greenhouse wiggle wire and channels to secure your tarp instead of staples! Super easy to use, very secure and can easily be removed and put back into place without damaging the tarp with staples each time! Enjoy the trip!!
My family thinks I'm crazy, as I may or may not quote Steve all the time. "Hunker Down" and "having a Step 2" are now common phrases in my house/campsite. Haha. I've told my family I NEED a Hunker Down hoody for Xmas!
Those Minnkoda's are very good! If you treat it right and don't run it up too many sandbars you should be able to hand it down in the family. Have fun and be safe!
Crazy Neighbour gives me Red Green vibes and I love it
Crazy neighbor with the air hug is always refreshing. Steve is living all of our dreams!
So glad you started this second channel. We can get our Steve fix more often :) Congratulations on the almost 30K subscribers to your new channel.

Oh, we all instantly subscribed, lol.
You got complaints and lost subscribers? What’s wrong with people..... just keep being yourself, 99.99% of us will still like you.
Steve Wallis Step 2 some folks are nuts

Crazy neighbor seems really resourceful and a perfect first mate!
I love how the crazy neighbor is nice, has a few cars, doesn't bother anyone. Meanwhile your the one with 2 shows and doing crazy camping videos Lol
Right, who is the crazy one . . . .
I must admit Steve, I am jealous. A week of floating down the river on the raft sounds freakin awesome! Enjoy!
Beans and Bacon, good thing that place is well vented 🤣
And I have beans and ham cooking !
Sweet setup! Thanks for the update, brother. These adventures are awesome during the weird times we live in. Especially love the arms up salute from crazy neighbor every time the camera is on him. Haha
Wow! Two videos on the same day.
I now catch myself doing the crazy neighbor, two armed wave with people. The looks I get are comical. Keep up the great work Steve!
I fairly recently discovered this camping channel. Has anyone ever mentioned you have the perfect radio voice?
Haha thanks! I’ve heard that a couple times :)
welcome to the crazy family!
Steve’s got talent! Check out his older boondocking video/film. Still one of my favs. Great personality for this format and great eye for 🎥 and editing.
So true and he looks great good on camera as well :)
He really does, his demeanor is perfect as well.
nice view out the kitchen window....looks very comfy!
I am so glad to find out that you are not up the river without a paddle.
I never see you doing anything, it's always Crazy Neighbor doing the work. Well played.
Not true we work as a team he dosnt record himself doing things much
Cap'n Wallis on the Open Seas! Man the foc'sle, reef the mizzen! Love these vids, thank you Steve.
Steve, Steve's lovely wife and Crazy Neighbor thank you for these videos. 2020 has really sucked and your videos really cheer me up. 💗
Just turned on thr youtube and saw this upload and got so pumped. And rushed to your channel to watch. Cant wait for the whole upcoming boat video. Cheers om the number 2

Crazy neighbors lucky he has a young man to go on these adventures with, it would be tough for him to do it on his own
It's a good day when Steve uploads twice in one day!
I look forward to getting off work, hunkering down, and enjoying some step two's with these videos! Keep 'em coming!
So much hunkering down i don't think i could possibly hunker down any more than I already am!
Looks nice and cozy with a table for two and a view of the waterfront! Take care 🏖 🇨🇦
That's a good genuine relaxed Campimg with Steve smile right there at the end of the video. Cheers to you too! Enjoy your trip guys.
Hey, thanks for a look at your "vessel"! I appreciate that you took the time to show us, have a good night and safe sailing!
How cool man. That river side fire looks like a good time. You guys enjoy yourselves!
I been here awhile steven i live in wheatly ontairo for 9 years miss the old Canadians. Appreciate all the work you do steve
Thanks for the update!! Cant wait for the full vid !!! Be safe best of luck to the both ya yall !from illinois 🇺🇸
Too be jealous of the simple things is humbling, have a safe and wholesome journey look forward too more.
Ya know "Crazy Neighbor" would be a great shirt.
Good evening, Steve (and crazy neighbour)!! Thanks for the great video content!! Take care and stay safe on the high seas!!🙂
Nice set up. Enjoy. We enjoy watching 🙂🙂
He definitely has step 2's hidden on there, he just can't say it on camera lol!
steve would never do something suspicious or illegal guys. cmon.
Definitely have a hidden supply. Cant be on a river camping trip without it.
Aren’t you allowed to have on boats but not opened ?...
Reading your comment then thinking about crazy neighbor giving the big Rick Flair WHOOO when he turned around.
What is a Step 2? I assume liquor?
Looks like a awesome setup Steve. Can’t wait to see the whole video
Somebody's got some step 2's under the boat..... Secret compartment😎🤘
I'm sure someone as resourceful as Crazy Neighbour would have planned for all contingencies!
Not all the barrels are full of air!

Still afloat! But my ❤️ sank at “So that’s how it goes”
Everyone needs a crazy neighbor!!! ❤️‼️
Lol who's the haters that could hate Steve? This is not a bad video, don't worry bout the haters, still a great video my man! Mad love from Colorado to you all, northern neighbors or locals.
Who's hating? There is a 350:1 like:dislike ratio. People disagreeing with you, or not liking the same things as you, does not make them a "hater".
If Steve has haters, than no one is safe.
@@DClean Look at the like/dislike ratio. There are no haters. It is unreasonable to expect 100% of people to enjoy every single thing they come across.
@@popcorns6472 he's referring to Steve's comment above where he said he had haters for using his main channel for second channel content
Hey Steve. Just be safe and have fun.
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Crazy Neighbor
My thought exactly.
Mark Twain approves.
Haha, good analogy 👍
And he's Canadian, so Rush's "Tom Sawyer" should be playing in the background!

Lol that’s 😆
Solar panel and roof all in 1. 👍👌
That’s looks awesome. And a step two delivery now that’s planning lol
Steve your the man 🤙
Steve you're a inspiration more then you know it! Please keep on doing what you are doing
I see the Crazy Pose, I click the like
Safe travels
Steve and Crazy Neighbor on raft eating beans with no toilet...
Having a step 2 while performing a number two mathematically ends up as a number 4. I don't know what that is but it doesn't sound good.😂
"How to go Number Two, while stealth camping, with Steve Wallis"?
There's a show about a Catamaran charter crew and they're not allowed to poop on the boat.
Nothing wrong with cheap panels. Electrons don't discriminate.
electrons?
Looking forward to the full video of the trip, watch out for any banjo players along the way...🤣🤣🤣
Right on.. boat looks great..
Kinda hungry for some bacon and beans now. lol
Thanks for the video
Great set up. The river looks amazing.
Awesome camping boat setup!! Cheers, enjoy your river trip, and your next step 2 (a.k.a great beer)!!!!$😎🚤⛺🏞🍻✌🏽
im excited for the full video on Thursday!!
Looks good. Hope the sun shines down on you:)

Good to see U again, keep it coming 👍👍👍
Crazy neighbor is so useful. Can I borrow him?
No step 2s allowed on the river? When has that ever stopped you before? It wouldn't stop me... :D
drinking a "step 3" in Crazy neighbors name!. lol
Just thought Steve you could use greenhouse wiggle wire and channels to secure your tarp instead of staples! Super easy to use, very secure and can easily be removed and put back into place without damaging the tarp with staples each time! Enjoy the trip!!

use industrial velcro on the tarps. Should make it easier to remove and replace

Very cozy. I hate using that word, but it is. Love the set up.

Sucks dude no step 2 lol
