  • 6.0 Powerstroke - Turbo Rebuild With KC Turbo 10 Blade Wheel. So this is a follow up video after I tore our 6.0 powerstroke turbo apart and cleaned it up. So I go step by step replacing what was in the kit until the 6.0 powerstroke turbo is fully rebuilt. I upgraded to the 10 blade KC turbos propeller.

That turbo looks like it caught on fire. 😂

All that oil is because of the crank case vent being attached to the intake pipe right before the turbo.

Fixing to have to rebuild mine. Appreciate the video bud. Im not a mechanic so i have beem learning everything i have done to my truck so far from CZcams, from rebuilding the turbo to changing the injectors. Reason being is no one wanted to touch it so i had no choice but to learn how to, fixing to rebuild my injectors as well so i have backups.

Haven't gotten to hear the 10 blade yet because of the engine rebuild.

Looking good. I did the same, but it only lasted 200 miles before the turbine shaft broke off... It obviously overspeed because of intercooler failure... I just had to buy a new standard turbo... then the head gaskets which I am am working on now...

Where did you get the o ring for the vtg plunger? Mine is leaking oil from the plunger

I reused the old one from my turbo as the kit didn't come with one.

Did you buy the one they sill with the turbine and compressor wheel, or just the turbine. I am trying to decide.
    Thx

so my 05 turbo didnt have that plunger thing you tapped back in should i be concerned and order one from somewhere?

Yes, that is what controls your variable geometry turbo. You would be losing power and gas mileage.
