    No need to remove the alternator. Turbo comes right out with out removing it.

    If you pull the belt back before you remove the alternator there is a clip that locks the tensioner in service mode a lot easier than pulling it back on

      I think that's largely dependent on how well it's taken care of. Mine is at nearly 300k miles and I've never had costly repairs on it

    Will stage 2 work with stock injectors
    Ok can you say what’s the advantage or difference from the stock injectors and a performance tune than when towing from a big injector and a tow tune thanks again

    • @pddofficial
      @pddofficial  Před 2 lety +1

      yes it will, but it will be a little less responsive than stock, the truck in the video has warren 175/stock nozzles

      I have a gen 1 kc stage 2 with stock injectors and stock tuning… just a 4 inch straight pipe. and it spools up great. 75mph, 2k rpm, 10 psi boost

    What stage was the turbo you removed? It looked like it had the gen 2 compressor wheel in it?

    • @pddofficial
      @pddofficial  Před 2 lety +1

      the kc stage 2 gen one, the turbo i installed was a kc stage 2 gen 2. the gen 2 has a better turbine wheel. it helped spool up buy about 150rpms

    • @tylerstucker8830
      @tylerstucker8830 Před 2 lety

      @@pddofficial isn’t that compressor wheel on your gen 1 the same as the gen 2 though? I know the turbines been updated. All the gen 1 I have seen seem to have a more straight finned compressor wheel.

  • @kushkringle8314
    @kushkringle8314 Před 2 lety

    You can also just hold the compressor wheel from spinning for about 30 seconds on the first startup. That will oil it real nice

    • @lukefranklin1766
      @lukefranklin1766 Před rokem +1

      Not if it's deleted. Only reason the gaskets blow is because the egr cooler flash boils the coolant, which causes silicates to drop from liquid suspension and clog the oil cooler
