Alpine thought to themselves, we're gonna be like Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull at the same time:
    - We have the revolving door of Ferrari
    - A friendly, harmonious driver pairing just like Mercedes
    - And we're going to treat our drivers like Red Bull
How could this POSSIBLY have gone wrong, hmmMMM

I just feel like they missed the chance of keeping Marcin Budkowski as 2021 they seemed to the dream team, drivers were unified working together ( weird to say after 2022) , the car was a solid midfielder and the team had a sense of direction. Even during Otmar era the team felt lost and mismanaged

5:30 in a parallel universe Vettel didn't retire and Ocon went to Mercedes (instead of Russel or Hamilton that is retiring) leaving Alonso and Piastri in that team with a car that after one year of the regulation changes it is going very well and is a championship contander together with Ferrari and Red Bull! 🤯

I think that Alpine should stop making their own engine, we can see clearly that they are not good for that, instead they should do like McLaren and purchase engine from an another manufacturer, that would be their exclusive engine provider, but lets remember that the Renault group is partially owned by French government so they don't like to spend to much.
They do not want to put the money in, in beyond the grid podcast I guess, Rossi said that the team would be self sufficient, that spend what they have generated into the last season, now we understand why they went for a investment group.
In terms of management it is a disaster it is not possible to have so many team principals in the spaces of 4 years, the head of Renault group they want instant result, just like Ferrari, but that it is not how it works, for a new team principal to show the result of is management he need 2 or 3 years into the team.
It is sad but Renault/Alpine it is a joke, they have my favorite driver, Esteban Ocon, also they have my favorite road car Alpine A110r but they are a disaster in F1.
I just think that Ocon should leave if there is a better seat, Audi would be a good option.
I hope that they will do at least something remarkable in endurance with Mick and the others.

Laughs alpine buying an engine from someone else will never help them improve I suspect they would somehow fall further back they make everything now and they cant put it all together imagine having to work together with another engine supplier lmao the results would be awful plus management would change there mind on who's engine to have after a few weeks disaster mate 😊

  • @Coen80

They'll finish 8th only in front of Haas (10th) and Sauber (9th).
    Torro Rosso/Williams will be 7th and 6th,
Aston, McL, Fez and Merc for 4th - 2nd and Rb lonely in 1st.
    Thats my prediction anyway 😅
