rubber bushings between the camera mount and the bike would do alot to help with those vibrating loose issues as well as isolate it to make sure the picture isn't just a vibrating shaking mess...
I had this same 2016-1290-SDR, traded it away for the Ducati StreetFighter V-4S, PHENOMENAL Motorcycle!!! Makes the 1290 feel like a heavy bucket of bolts!!! Dealer wouldn’t let me test ride 3.0, but my Ducati Dealer had 0 issues, wiithin 10-sec of my demo ride on the V-4 i was sold !!!!!

Can you just power it with a USB port? Or do you need to attach it to the battery?
I have a dash cam, different brand and different name, but the exact same unit, same voice, even the foam in the box was the same. Kinda funny how some stuff from china is like that. I HAD to have the rear camera, after being rear-ended once, it is a huge concern it could happen again. Luckily on the Super Adventure there is a lot of real estate to work with.
I'm running a front and rear cam. - 14 here last night but Saturday and Sunday are +12.....ride time
Hey .. if that double sided tape on the small metal piece on the camera doesn’t hold. Try using a little gorilla glue and put it where u want. Let glue set and that thing will never fall off.
In MX you really need all of that, the GPS and the dashcam because of the bikethiefs. Anyway, I hope to see u around here, theres really good roads out here.
Mate is it possible you could run the back cam between the taillight and the number plate?? Dremel or drill at the very top of the plate maybe (notch it out) to sit flush?? But you do you its your bike.
