I have the mantis 10 pro se and can confirm it keeps up with city traffic lol. I avoid the bike lane all together too sketchy with car doors and shrapnel from glass ect. Take the lane and treat it like a motorcycle and it’s safer around cars
Bro, You need helmet, I come off my monster scooter the other day going about 30 mph checking my battery level's an hit a bump that bounced me off, lol, I hit the concrete with my hand an shoulder, Even cracked the plastics on my body armour, But if i never had a lid on my head, I would have a broken skull or prob be dead, 40 mph is different when you standing up, But now i can handle those speeds an know what too expect i want more, lol, Thinking of sticking new motor on it, Summit like a 3000w, Mainly for the power for steep hill's, But too get more speed as well, I only got 1600w on it at the mo, I can get 38 mph so it not that bad, But i want more, Even thinking of buying the Wolf warrior 2, Same company that makes this Mantis is Kaboo, The wolf warrior is an amazing looking scooter, Still even with the duatron x, The kaboo wolf warrior just looks so much better in my eyes, It just the nearly £3000 price tag here in the UK, Is daunting paying that much for something i cannot test ride is still blind buying, Regardless of the amount of reviews i can watch, Hopefully the prices start coming down, The more people buy them, I heard they doing a study in Milan with PEV form's of transport, Too bring the traffic down in cities, I wish they would do this in the UK, Our cities are proper disgusting with pollution, Everyone should use PEV transport instead of cars, Make travelling so much better....................

Love it Love it. A fellow Calgarian who owns a scooter. One that is better than mine. Your voice reminds me of my voice when I go for a scoot. I own a Zero 8 and next week my new Apollo Explorer should be arriving. I use my scooter for going to work (all on a bike path) and for the rush of personal exploration rides around Calgary. I did not realize the closed the road under Lionsgate bridge. good to know. Awesome.
There's a guy that commutes on one of these types of scooters here. It's sorta scary watching him ride it cause he has larger wheels on it but if you hit a big enough pot hole like we have around here everywhere, you could really get hurt.

I go out in Denver on my wolf warrior to punk out mopeds and other little gas scooters. These new electric scooters have Tesla like acceleration with ludicrous speed for a stand-up kick scooter... drivers suck , they get mad when they can't pass you because you're going the speed limit. Share the road people!

I think you get looks because many people don’t see scooters that size. I get that a lot but but my e scooter is a bit bigger as well it can go about 80 KPH . 😂😂😂 Hit 90 one time as well. My scooter weights about 43 Kilograms.😂 Max output is 5400 Watts. Sometimes it feels like a mini motorcycle.😂

What is the top speed you manage to reach?
I’m in U.K. and my new e scooter max speed is 24mph. At first, I was like, I wish I bought 40mph scooter BUT I’m glad 24mph is top speed because if I could go 40-50mph I’d probably be breaking the speed limit, constantly. 50mph I’m a 20 lol. I’d probably get arrested ASAP 😂

Riding that fast that close to pedestrians especially when they don't know your comming is just downright stupid, if you ride motorbikes then you should know that it takes a microsecond for someone to pull out on you or deviate from their current course when your at speed and there's nothing you can do.

You have one of the most beautiful and cool looking naked motorcycle on earth but in your honest opinion which one would you prefer cruising in town? the Mantis or any other escooters or your ktm Duke?
I feel like this is the reason why e-scooters are banned in many places and/or have severe limits put on them. At that speed, you really shouldn't be on any pedestrian-shared paths.
In Ontario, the speed limit for e-scooters (anywhere, including on roads) during the pilot program is 25km/h. If you're in B.C, I think these are actually illegal.

well it's 15-1600$ for the base model which he is using and that is pretty good considering here that price gets u a 250w bike that asisst you upto 30kmh but if you are using weak currency like the cad atm yeah i guess its a bit expensive.

The company recommends using both motors at once to prevent wear and tear on the rear motor.
Hey Elliot you should reach out to me regarding your scooter I am a technician with kaabo canada (and a long time follower and fellow motorcyclist.) There is a recall issue with the stem on the older models of the mantis. I would like to verify that yours is not affected by this issue. If you would like I could provide you with an email address so we can verify and if so set you up with the replacement parts. Also good to see you uploading again

Can you still ride it like in neutral or just by using ur leg? btw Edmonton has more trails then Calgary, Edmonton has the most trails in Canada...Fun fact.. But i do like the trails there, around the Reservoir use to bike it when i was younger took me just under an hour round trip....lol good old days

New Brunswick requires full licensing and registration on a thing over 250W or some ridiculously low number. Insurance is as high as can be. More than the cost of a new scooter every season.
