When I was planning this series over Xmas, the Warrior started off in the same category as Prophet and Astrologer, as a class I had no motivation to cover. Bleed/Occult Curved Swords are just too good for any other alternatives to be considered (I've done Wing of Astel to death and have something else in mind for the Magma Blade at some point) when trying to optimise it. It was only when I was deciding which Axe to use on the Hero build (I've been wanting to try both for a while) that this idea occurred to me. If you want to try a busted Bleed Curved Sword build, Nizar GG and Titus Actual have both done excellent guides on it. Hope you enjoy the vid!

Axes are imo one of the more boring weapon types in the game so seeing two axe builds so close to each other kinda sucks. But hey you could make a flail only run still entertaining so I know this video will still be great, was just really hoping for curved swords since its one of my favorite weapon types

I'll be honest, I was hoping to see a lightning curved sword build or a twin blade focus. When I think dex heavy build, lightning scales with dex and very few things resist it much. But disappointment aside, atleast it's still a sparky build.

This is becoming the most "inside baseball" Elden ring build channel and I'm 10000% here for it. And I'm ready for 8 more guides for each of the new weapon classes.

LOL. Took me a while to figure out that you just didn't want to do a jumping bleed curved sword run. When you said Warrior doesn't start with any weapons I was, "wait what?"
Haha - I was a little slow on the uptake as well. TF's vids are so on-point I was literally questioning my own memory of playing the warrior class.

The name of the class is due to a translation liberty, it’s supposed to be closer to “swordsman” similar to the DS2 iteration.
Already on my way doing this build amazing video as always. Looking for a broken dlc build would you mind showing an optimized version of twinblade bleed because most guides just say get said lategame item. I am sure your stepby step guides will make it significantly easier/ more fun

Great video as always and honestly the damage could be even higher than you showcased by quickly buffing both just before the fights for that extra bit on lights and heavies inbetween the weapon skills

This is one of two concepts I'm doing in prep for the DLC. I wanted a build based on lore for why the character is entering the Land of Shadows. One is Mohg, chasing after Miquella. The other is the Blind Swordsman, aiding Miquella out of respect for Milania now that she is dead. My Blind Swordsman will be pretty high level as I imagine him being capable of wielding any weapon. He is a master of all melee, so strength and dex will both be at least at 60. Int, faith, and arcane will be whatever allows me to use the most demanding weapons. Im not counting casting weapons, so I won't need those as high as strength and dex.

@thingfishygaming Love your guides. Use your startup on every new build. Instead of using the morning star, you ever thing of using the flail? The spinning chain ash of war makes that dragon bleed so much faster. Keep up the good work
This is how I role played my Hero class because of the "Axe-weilding Barbarian" of the badlands origin. I know Nephili talks about being a warrior but she really is a Hero.
My warrior is based on the warrior nomads of the blind swordsman who write the crafting books.
I main dex but have a balance spread into into faith and int so can dabble in elemental buffs. Arcane I level for the bubble sorcery requirements and a bit of Kukri bleed status.
Means I can exploit the blue dancer charm with perfumer or arrow sting talismans to be come a "Prince of Persia" throwing knives warrior with scimitars, daggers, whips, and Katar. The Dex also makes the barbed torch rather powerful. I only use small shields.
That's for me a really fun warrior playstyle. Would be interested in you trying it out.
which build of yours do you recommend the fastest and OP build to beat the game and be ready for the DLC btw i already beaten the game a few times

I know you're doing this series right now (which is really fun) but i wanted to ask if maybe when you're finished with this series, you could do a block counter build, i dont know if it would work into late game but it would be pretty cool so please think about it. Guard counters are definitely viable into late game, other than some bosses (Malenia, mostly) that are much trickier to get them off on. It was actually one of my favorite builds to play through the whole game with, just a greatshield and a big weapon and some proper talismans; even got to use some really fun shield Ash of Wars, like Vow of the Indomitable and Holy Ground.

is there a good melee lighting build?
You could've easily multiply the damage done by alternating between both axes to get them BOTH buffed with their respective AoW. I didn't even know the warrior class didn't start with a weapon and I've been wanting to do a run with these axes so this video was beautiful.
I tried the bridge nights calvary cheese, but when he jumped off, he disappeared and teleported back to the center of the bridge.

Stormhawk axe ash is really underappreciated. It is extremely strong. Unfortunately axe powerstance moveset is not very good.

The joke is that there are already a lot of powerstanced curved swords builds available and he wanted to do something else here

In previous videos he's added daggers to classes that don't start with daggers to use Golden Vow and seals to classes that don't start with seals to cast spells, so it very much seems like he's just taking the commenter's suggestion as a guideline rather than a rule.

Fishy...for srs you could prolly slaughter an RL1 run if you put your head to it. If I can drop Mohg at lvl 13 you can make a joke out of that fight.
(granted that took me ages and was done with dual reduvias + rot/poison/bleed bolts from the pulley crossbow so it was anything but a straight up fight)

@@TREVORVADER I ask because a friend of mine (currently taking a break from Elden Ring) started as a Warrior but got a little frustrated between our coop sessions. I want to give good recommendations if and when he picks it up again, and don't want to lean him astray

There’s plenty of options for dex though. Twinblades and katanas are also pretty good.
I understand the frustration as I started warrior and had a rough time myself on launch.
I ended up restarting as Samurai but once I got better at the game that Warrior character was much easier to go through on than it originally was for me.
Great video, but holy hell a 1 minute intro is infuriating to sit through. 10 seconds max.
Classes are within a few points of irrelevant in that game.
