My Dad gave me the stainless steel 22 mag for Christmas in 2002. It was my first rifle. I still have it to this day. One of my absolute favorites and a terror to the squirrels!
Dad had one of these when I was a kid. I shot our silo with it and scared the hell out of a guy that was trying to pilfer our barn. Later, I called the Sheriff and he busted out laughing. Oh... Oklahoma.
Marlin in my book ,don't know bout the newer ones but are equal to those high dollar competition shooters. If anyone ever made a great 4ifle it was John Marlin
Great little intermediate round that nicely bridges the gap between 22lr and 223 Remington. Just enough juice to stop the coyotes that mess with my chickens. 22lr is fun but not big enough.
One key thing though I feel, and I may be wrong but shot placement, even in higher end rifles they go for shot placement i believe. There so dog gone accurate I remember as a kid shooting the m60 Marlin 22 and from 50 yrds without scope id hit cans on the bottom just to see how high I cud make them jump up and spin off the ground. You have to hit them right at the bottom of the rim of the can and as a kid I cud hit it 3very time. But ofcourse I had good vision at the time lol. And lungs
@@kathypurvis2812 You better hang on to that one! 3x9 is what’s on mine, works perfect. I have the raised rings so you can still use the open sights as well.
@@kathypurvis2812 All the 882’s are JM stamped micro grooves. They’re all pre-Remington acquisition. The Stainless Steel ones with synthetic stock were only made for a few before discontinued. Amazing rifles. A favorite for survivalists and deer poachers. 22 win mag is a sweet but very capable little round. Especially with that Winchester 40 grain hp like in this video.
Where did you get your scope rings from? I just got an XT-22mag and I'm looking to put a scope on it with your same rings, but I can't find them online. Did you have to replace the base also? Thanks!
I got a nice 3x9 40 scope for mine by the rails are too small which is odd since it’s uses weaver mounts.. don’t matter much this is a subMOA at 100 with open sights and bench. Would be nice to choose what eye I wanna shot out and zoom in of course.
I can’t seem to find any magazines for sale I only have the original one it came with and I’ve been wanting to get a few more. If anyone’s got info on where I can get one that would be great!!
I bought one in 2001. My God I have taken quite a few coyotes and lost count of the hogs. But a little too much for squirell though with anything but head shots.

Just picked one up in an impulse buy good to know they aren’t crap
Nice pieces. Can you tell us what the vintage is on each one? I’d love to find one of these M25s either blued or stainless/synthetic. Thanks.

They really are excellent rifles and accurate as well as good looking
The shots fired down range were the exact same results as the ones when I was searching for videos ofa complete different gun
👍

Thank you!
I got one of them and And a 25N
Classic!! Good rifles
I love the Marlin 22, what do you think is better, the tube magazine or the normal magazine?
Oh man that’s a tough one. I do like the tube. It’s always attached so nothing to misplace. Magazines are nice though.

So true, gotta got for the head on the squirrels!
Just a note, CCI has a new subsonic loading that would work for squirrels, if you don't have a 22LR in the stable.
@@edjett2631good to know.. the stable is full of ruger 10/22s
It’s good to have options
Igot one holds seven rounds not ten
They are a fine rifle. I thought they all
Came with 10. I could be wrong here
@@RawHawg nope. my dad bought his and came with 1 7rd mag.

Appreciate the feedback. When you get your first video up post a link here. So I can see how it’s done.
why you using dirty trash anno,,CCI is the cleanest ammo money can buy
Well there was an ammo shortage not to long ago and people grabbed what they could. Possibly
