Wideroe E190-E2 Review: CRAMPED, UNCOMFORTABLE, DISAPPOINTING!

  • I flew onboard a Wideroe E190-E2 for a flight from Tromsø to Bergen, Norway. Whilst the aircraft itself is a lovely quiet, smooth ride, the configuration Widerøe have opted for is incredibly cramped and tight.

Let’s be fair. There’s nothing wrong with the E-190 E2. It’s a good plane. The seats are an aftermarket product selected by the airlines. They choose the pitch too.

All of the E190s will have different seating configurations and it all depends on the airline. The E190 is the most comfortable regional jet I’ve been on. This particular airline chose a 29in seat pitch which would be very tight. So this particular plane is uncomfortable because wideroe choose a very tight seating configuration, but as a whole this airplane is very comfortable if you were flying a different airline.

I was going to say the same thing. When he said airlines should cancel all their orders for this jet he lost credibility...still like most of his reviews though. Just showed his bias too much. I havent found one jet or plane that I had issues with enough to blast a manufacturer....and i have flown plenty of times in the max before it was sidelined

G SChar The Max per se is a testament to Boeing’s design capabilities. I mean, you can update a 40 year old product line and still make it competitive with younger designs. I personally don’t like the short lifespans the A320 seems to have lately, with some frames deemed EOL after 15 years, which is the time a 73 is going from first to second owner. I know MCAS was a miserable failure, but let that be a painful lesson to Boeing’s engineering team. Dan sometimes is like Josh Cahill. The drama sometimes is fun, sometimes it’s unnecessary.

I agree. Nonstop Dan is unfortunately just a spoiled brat who thinks world revolves around him. I gave up on him when he made a hissy fit about Qatar and said "they should call him so they can work out the problem and find the solution together". Seriously? How much more self absorbed can you be? Yeah, multi billion dollar company will personally call you and discuss their business strategy with you...wow...he really thinks he is something special.
On the contrary these videos are very well made and very objective. And Noel often clearly states that "it could be different/better, but that is my prefference", so very objective all in all. And he has kind of calm voice that is just perfect for narrating. So he's earned my sub despite the fact that I don't have much knowledge or special interest in aviation industry, but these videos are just interesting to watch. And he includes so many interesting facts that make the videos really stand out.
Keep up the great work Noel, definitely one of the best plane/flight reviews online. Learned a ton of new stuff as well!
