I'm finally properly answering the question of will my Zelda X Pokemon Project: Link Dimension be a game? This project is about making a fakemon region from the Legend of Zelda franchise but using world building and new concepts to bring it to life.

This is such an awesome idea, I love the n64 games, especially majora’s mask, and even if it takes 5, 10, 15 years, or maybe it doesn’t even get finished, it would still be so cool and so special, link dimension has been one of my favourite projects to follow and I’m excited for the future of this entire project
If CZcams was able to be full time for me (maybe it will in the future) I’d be able to spend more time on it and I hope I can make some reasonable progress. I’ve been doing a lot of research and testing things out but I wanna show people the process along the way as well
Let’s be honest, totk took 6-5 years to make and look at it, a absolute masterpiece so if there is really going to be a link dimension game, don’t rush it
But that’s to old to be relevant.

Low-poly-pixel actually looks really good imo. Like, the Crosscode devs are using it for their next game, Cassette Beasts used it too. Looks great there. Even removing the DS-processor limitations on Pokemon Black and White looks simply gorgeous! Just don't blur over the top of the game to make it feel "retro", (like, seriously. You'll put so much effort into the art for a game, so let it shine!) or at least make a retro blur a toggle option and it'll look amazing, I'm sure!
I don’t plan on overdoing the retro feel but more stick to the constraints of the console which will also let me focus more on the atmosphere and mechanics while trying to retain a good atmosphere without worrying so much about the quality of the models and everything else!
i love the idea of the game being in the polygonal style of OoT and M.Mask
feels like the perfect crossroads of being able to be realistically done by one person, looking good, and being a very well known style for one of the base franchises
Yeah that’s another big reason, I really want a 3D game but I don’t wanna spend forever worrying about the graphics and other things. I’d rather try and give it more style
An Ocarina of time type Pokémon/Zelda game would be sick!

The fact that you are willing to do something with this, something BIG, something that few are willing to even attempt, it shows that you have the courage and tenacity to follow through, and that will be very useful in the future. I really want to be able to help you in any way, but I don't know how to code, how to 3D model, or anything of the sort. So for now, I'll cheer you on from the sidelines. GO BILSU GO!
Honestly, I like the idea of it being an N64 game, especially since there’s a more personal connection for you doing it, not just so it stands out more, but because Ocarina of Time was your first console game, essentially coming full circle back to where it began, it probably will be daunting at times, but I feel with the number of people that clearly have shown interest and passion for this, I think this will achieve exactly what you’re setting out to do with it
I find a lot of fulfillment out of trying to not do the norm, idk why I’m like that but also the challenge is exciting to me. I really want something that feels familiar but new at the same time

I have back up plans that will maybe not be exactly what fans want but it’s the only solution that would let me realize the concept :)

Yo, so happy that it's gonna be made into a game. I've been here since the typing explaination and this kinda feels like a dream. One question I've got thought is how is your art gonna fit into a N64 type game?
Thank you so much for sticking around! ✨ This is the part that might throw people off the most, there will absolutely need to be some changes but I would almost like people to simply think of it as the project but in a different art style. Some Pokémon will probably have to be heavily changed and even some mechanics might not work out how I want but that’s just part of the process. Even though my goal is to make it as N64 as possible I still want my own flavor added so I plan for it to still have that vibrant vibe that my art has to an extent :)
Zelda and Pokémon have been my favorite franchises for forever, and you making a world and story combining them is a dream come true for me. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and creativity with the world, and I can't wait to see how Link Demention grows through both you and your incredible fan base!

One thing that could be cool is a guidebook for this as if it were a game. And that could be cool because it could have story, concept art, your pokedex, but also computer generated "screenshots" of the game that never was. Although I've always had a love for videogame guidebooks, and even used them growing up to almost "play" game that we couldn't afford.
The way I set up my Dex pages on my Bēhance are actually kinda meant to look like a guidebook because one of my goals is to get something printed because I really want something physical 😄

For sure, I've played a lot of fangames in the rpgmaker style, and they've all been great, but it'll be awesome to see a new take on the idea

I’ve been extremely inspired by other project recreating the N64 style over this past year and it’ll allow me to attempt to learn a lot while recreating nostalgia but with something new. The final result may not be exactly the vision but I want to work on it regardless

The N64 is probably my favorite console ever and Pokémon and LoZ are what I played on it the most growing up so this project is very special to me. Honestly i dont give a damn what your choice of graphics are if your game is playable than my opinion would entirely be based on the story of the game if it was free that would just exponentially increase the chance id play it. And honestly your art is probably the best fakemon art i have ever seen and you have been a fun content creator to me that i know i can always load up a video from and enjoy it.
No worries it would be free since it’s a fan game! Though it would only be available on PC because of this :)

This video reminds me of my hope for a proper spiritual successor to Zelda II. Not because I like that game (I’ve never even played it), but the idea of a Zelda metroidvania with Dread-like graphics is so cool to me and it could 100% work because Zelda games (with the exception of BotW and TotK) are already a kind of Metroidvania, but 3D.
Zelda 2 definitely needs more love

N64 is such a perfect style for this, though. N64 was Pokémon's first home console, but it never got a 'proper' game - the closest it got was the Stadium games - so for it to have an N64-style RPG spin-off makes perfect sense. I'll support however I can!

I will admit, a part of me just wants all of the specs on the Pokemon (stats, movelists, ability lists, details of new moves/abilities) - I play a homebrewed Pokemon D20 tabletop system, and this idea would be converted surprisingly well to it. I was not expecting you to take the N64 route. I honestly figured you'd go with the romhack. Specifically, off the code of either Gen-3 of pokemon or Link to the Past.

Hey Bilsu just wanna say a huge thank you for doing this project (I mean Link Dimension as a whole) When you started this project 10 months ago I was dealing with some heavy things but watching this project grow and pun intended, evolve has really made this year. The Legend of Zelda series has always been a very nostalgic thing for me growing up. I remember me and my sister playing through twilight princess when I was young and I also remember myself falling in love with Pokémon at around the same time. When I heard both being combines I was super happy I've watched all the videos over and over because it has always interested me. Thats why I just want to say a massive thank you for making Link Dimension. all the art you do is amazing and the stories behind each fakemon is just perfect. so seriously thank you. as of writing this comment I have just joined the channel as I just want to show my support any way I can. so again. Thank you! you don't understand how grateful I am for this!
I’m so sorry you were dealing with stuff, trust me I go through the same things, I’m actually currently recovering from my own issues which is why my content has kinda slowed recently but things always get better don’t worry. While Link Dimension is using Zelda and Pokémon, i hope that the stories that end up getting told are things that can inspire others. And thank you for becoming a member! Dude, last year I had a similar idea to yours, and I just drew some sketches of "what if ocarina of time had pokemon in it?" and it was such a fun time. Some time later I found your channel, and I am so happy with your project. When I heard you were going to do it in the ocarina of time engine, I got sooo exited, you can't even imagine. I wish only the best for you and this prohect, I am sure it's going to be amazing! You already accomplished a lot with your channel, even if you aren't able to finish the game, I am exited to hear more about it!

Nintendo needs something truly new to bring to Pokémon, and this kind of idea? A fully fleshed out crossover between two IPs would be just what people need. Then imagine later on you move your mons from one such as Link Dimension or Longest Nightmare (a truly terrifying Resident Evil crossover idea) into Home and then whatever comes next. We could get all the new Pokémon us fans want while not making Nintendo doubt their abilities of which a crossover title would truly show their talents imho
I was born in tge wrong time to properly enjoy ocarina of time, but I had a copy on my wii that I could play, the words n64 style sent chills down my spine, I wish you as good of luck as a person can have and to enjoy this all, and from all of us thank you for doing this, any small shreds or massive progress we all appreciate
