    I really appreciate videos about non-traditional students. I love the guests’ honesty about their apprehensions. Embarking on a significant shift like returning to university can indeed be daunting. As someone who recently enrolled as a mature student myself, their comments resonated, and I genuinely hope they inspire other mature students contemplating a return to higher education. For me, taking the leap has turned out to be one of the most rewarding decisions of my life.

    Heyy I just wanted to say thank you for being so transparent & encouraging. During my application process to Cambridge, I watched all your videos on interviews - they were a lifeline! Last week I got an offer, and I know a big reason was because of you!

    Loved the video! I wonder whether you guys will delve into this for prospective Masters students as well, if that’s alright to ask x

    I’m interested in reading for a second BA in Classics, particularly at Jesus where Drs. Letts and D’Angnor teach Greek and Latin actively. I’d be a mature student. The students interviewed are graduate students. Has Jesus had mature students read an undergraduate course? Would an application be received well if an applicant disclosed that he/ she wished to study his/ her course with specific professors?

      HI there, yes, we certainly welcome applications from mature undergrad students.
      Be careful naming professors you'd like to work with. Your UCAS application will be viewed by all institutions you apply to. If you state that you'd like to work with specific named professors, it may lead other unis to reject your application, for fear that you would not enjoy their course. Also, an Oxford application might get reallocated to another college, who will similarly feel that you don't really want them.
      Safer is to refer to books you've read by academics at Jesus College on your personal statement. That way you can say how much you took from Prof D'Angour's work, without saying "He's the only person I'd care to be taught by".

    Am curious is it possible to do a 4 year course and finish within 3 or 2 consider some people do finish faster and learn faster than your average peer

    • @JesusCollegeOxford1571
      @JesusCollegeOxford1571  Před 2 měsíci

      No, that's not possible. The courses are quite intensive, and I've never known anyone breeze through the early stages.

    Good evening professor, I am an Italian student. I’ve graduated in Psychology, I was wondering if Oxford offers any post graduate courses related to psychology.
    I will move to UK soon and I am interested in every university!

    Good morning sir
    I am Agrima from India and want to study law at the undergraduate level, if you could advise me from whom can I get my letter of recommendation written from. As I study in the CBSE board with commerce subjects none of my teachers have much knowledge of experience with law or social science for that matter

    • @JesusCollegeOxford1571
      @JesusCollegeOxford1571  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi Agrima, if your teachers are able to describe your academic ability and potential in general terms, even if they cannot speak to your capacity to study law, that will be helpful.
