Our card reader has been stuck on "Getting Update" for over a month now. It has the 20 minute countdown, reaches zero, restarts, then starts the countdown all over again. It's not signal strength because we have a drink machine with the same device that works just fine even with the antennas stored inside.

what about when only the 'Tap' doesn't work? Swiping works fine, and the charges are sent through. (Cantaloupe, btw).

Also it’s imperative to know what cell service is stronger in that particular area where the machine is located. The SIM card can either be AT&T or Verizon. I would do a little research before purchasing the card reader before hand so you can figure out if AT&T or Verizon is the best for a particular location.

Can you elaborate more on the G11 number range? What are the range lows vs highs and what means stronger signal?
